First of all, it's not really 50,000 volts...its 1800 when it connects...and why is no one talking about the kids beating the shit out of each other and a police officer simply stopping the beating?
Its funny.... police tasering people who they "THINK" is dangerous. Nice...Epic Nice.. Godly America one day the people will take down the gov and their enforcement will be ruled by the people who they bullied. Just a saying..no offense (To anyone taking this offensive....well go suck on your thumb; nobody wanna hear your QQ's) :D
tasers dont kill its the medical condition of the suspect that had been tased that kills its not the officers job to research everyones medical condition if you are beating someone up and dont stop when told expect a little bite in the ass
this is bullshit, people need to stop bitching about a taser. If the cop would have hit the kid or pushed him off of the other kid he was fighting, then you whiney fucking punks would be making a story about how the cop should have done something besides hit him or physically push the kid. No matter wat he did you guys are gunna bitch and moan about it. The kid refuses to stop = the cop does what he has to do to stop him. I bet if your kid was the one gettin his ass kicked you'd agree wit it
Do the split face thing on the cop with a piece of paper look at his right side !!! Looks like downs syndrome to me .... Guess its a free for all with the cop shop for jobs hahah!!!
when this happens and a cop breaks a fight kidds will get assult on a police office and resisting arrest. what ever the cop thought was best.... look at it this way a cop breaks up the fight and hitts the officer he will have an account of assult and resisting arrest... or get tased and its over with a count of resisting arrest. i think the cop acted on his training. these things happen.. i was once 14 and i know how a taser fells and a stungun 50,000 100,000 volts
Any cop who tasers a kid is a fucking pussy, honestly, too bad it aint like the old days before we had tasers and mace, because then it was either shoot me or make me go to fuckin jail, I bet you would have to shoot me pig
How unprofessional can you get? You're a police officer, and you taser a person who isn't even an adult yet? He deserved exactly what he did to that teenager.
Cops are going to do what they do to stop the violent offender and protect themselves. No matter the age, the human body is capable of amazing things. A 12 yr old pumped on adrenaline could be stronger then a grown man in some cases. The people who take a ride on the taser are people who need to be shot with it. I just laugh at the people who want to be in front of the camera. They make uneducated claims about the taser and its capabilities. Those kind of people get the public all freaked out.
The kid probably deserved it. He probably had multiple warnings and the cop had to do something before someone got seriously injured or killed. 80 lbs. is a big difference but he probably didnt want to accidently break the kids arm or something. 50000 volts hurts but its not the voltage that kills you, its the ampage.
@comodo24 Whatz wrong with a good old fashined throw down fuck ive had my face busted and hands brock tons of times and when it was over it was over no damage done our kids are being turned into pussies!
@izzy414able Walking away from a fight doesnt make anybody a pussy, it makes them smart. Breaking your hands isnt worth it if youre just trying to show someone whos boss. Its easy to make someone feel stupid just by talking to them and proving theyre wrong. I think its great, the expression on somebodys face when they have no comeback. Why feel pain? Why pay hospital bills? When you can show someone how ignorant they are. Besides, at the risk of being arrested, it really isnt worth it at all.
@comodo24 Dood i aint saying go pick on the little guy cuz shit im the little guy but what the hell is wrong with a fight and the point is if a cop cant brake up a couple of 12 year olds hes fired, and ill tell you what ide be willing to bet if teachers just started sending kids out back to take care of a problem there prabably be less shootings hey thats just me!
@izzy414able Whats wrong with it? How about the fact that a fight isnt controllable by the ones fighting. If you let 2 kids duke it out, who's to say the fight WONT get too far. Lets say the one kid gets a lucky punch and k.o.'s the other. Maybe the 1st kid isnt satisfied or maybe he just plain blacks out and continues to hit the unconscious kid to death. Fights are dangerous and that cop new that the tazer was the best way of ending it without serious injury.
@comodo24 Yea well guess what i guess you could say these two kids still have a problem thats not finished and instead of bracking up a fight the way its been done for centuries the police could have anouther kid thats gonna couse problems for them latter on in life just maby! All im saying is body slam the little fuckers if you have to! Not all cops but seems like alot just feel they can taze and more than likly are just realeasing some of that adrinalen they never get to unload!
@izzy414able PG1-Lets say the cop pulled the kids apart but the cop weighs a lot more then the kids, the cop pulls too hard and breaks the kids arm. What do you think would happen to the cop? I'll tell you, 1st the school would call the parents, then the parents would want revenge and they would sue the school, the police department and the cop.
@comodo24 Its cool man i see were in a disagreement and niether one of us are giving up cmon man it be alot better if you just agreed with me lol! Fuck it they should just taze everyone. And all those kids that saw it are scared for life and need to see a counsler for mintal tharapy this whole story stinks sorry i just dont see it!
PG2-The cop would be put on suspension until a hearing on whether he did the right thing or not and perhaps he would be fired or perhaps not. The cop realized the risks and decided that a taser, which has no long term harmful effects, would be the safest method of breaking the kids apart. Just letting people fight is wrong and it just leads to more fighting. I think you should re-evaluate your morals and methods. There is always a better way.
Its TRUE schools ARE being modeled as prisons. The powers that pull the strings are forcing us to accept a prison police state, right wing fascist america / planet.
Two 14 year old boys having a fist fight justifies this. Come on people if you think this is normal SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG.Boys will have fights and be friends again hours later.I know I did at that age over 25 years ago.
The police are pursuing assault charges over a playground fist fight when it is the police that sent a boy to the hospital! This is crazy. When I was a kid, fights were rare but the few fights that did come up, a teacher just came in and pulled one kid off the other and it was over. A 200 lb policeman couldn`t have simply pulled a 120 lb kid off the other? Why were police called in the 1st place? Can teachers not handle fist fights anymore?
LoL. Recess.... Crazy kids. Cops work for us, they aren't here to control us. just another case of police brutality that will go unchallenged. We're not a bunch of sheep needing a collie to control us.
FYI: Some cops, ones that aren't in that field to make up for a shitty childhood of being picked on OR ones that found a way to continue their bullying life as police officers, are pretty cool.
You have to put yourself in the officers shoes. What was the level of the threat. They were fighting obviously, how big were they? Were pumped on adrenaline? Its about preventing any others from getting hurt by the out of control person. Its the fastest way to stop the aggressor.
Regardless, the taser will still be here and in use. People who deserve to get tased will be. And stupid liberals along with the ignorant media will call it excessive force acting like they know what they are talking about.
yep, those damn liberal.. the cause of all our problems in america.. whatever dude.. go watch more fox news.. i see that's where you've been taking your cues.
this isn't a liberal/conservative issue.. you confuse the issue and make it political.. it's about shocking people into submission.. and more often than not, by overzealous, just back from iraq, stomp you in your face, dickwad cops.. the taser isn't a DO AS I SAY BOY toy for the cops to play with. sad they think they need this tool.
It upsets me that you are grouping all law enforcement officers into one category. We are not all the same. As in any profession, there are bad apples, but most of us use sound judgment and are mentally stable. I'm sorry you do not have a better view of those of us who strive to serve and protect our communities to the best of our abilities.
is it really the boys fault he was tazed no its his parents becuz people these days just dont know how to raise kids anymore and are ashame to admit it
@Foghornleghorn26 Well the problem is they just taze people cuz they can and alot not all are unjustified, fuck if a officer cant take down a 12 year old with all his training he should be kicked off the force cuz he is obviously not sueted for the job! They need to get back to the core of protecting and serving not herasing those they swore to protect, too many victumless crimes and punk ass cops!
I'm conservative as fuck but this is a joke. If u can't stop a simple teenage fight without a taser u don't need be a cop. It's not a toy, if u can't stop a little fight ur not a man, much less a real cop.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Wrong, i carry a taser on duty, took the class, been shot with it,...they cant kill. People have been tazed when they were on drugs. They were already dead but the drugs and adrenaline were keeping them alive. They were shot with the taser and later died when they came down from the drugs. They were going to die anyways. Thats how this whole taser kills thing began. It duplicates the signals from the brain. Its easier to say it kills then to take the time and learn something before you speak.
you're full of shit.. they can kill people who have certain medical conditions. you can't tell if you are tasering a person that has a condition or not.. at least not until their dead. then it's easy to say they were on drugs, or were dead anyway..
what a load of shit.. and coming out of the mouth of a cop too.. imagine that.
@RonPaulvsTyranny Ron, your a very angry person who obviously has something against cops. A life of crime, getting caught, and having to pay for the crimes you committed could make a person act the way you do. Its very simple. If your violent, are a threat to officers or anyone else, and acting out in a public setting, you are subject to being tazed. Police do not want violent people within arms reach of their deadly weapons. Deadly force wasn't warranted so the tazer was chosen in this case.
@Foghornleghorn26 ......wow dude ur not very smart r u....if i was tasered i woulda died or at least been paralyzed for a long long time...considering i have a metal rob in my back for a bac problem that i have. and besides wat about a kid how might have a heart condition they would die immediately
@Foghornleghorn26 they certainly CAN kill and this has been well documented. nothing to do with drugs, you are either a liar or ignorant. you say you carry one on duty? you a cop? if so you have an OBLIGATION to do your due diligence and find out, that would make you a liar and NEGLAGENT and derelict to your duty to keep the peace. electical surges can disrupt repiration, and induce a cardiac arrest. your ignorance endangers us all, read a book.
why even tase someone...are u that much of a pussy that u can't detain a 14 year old boy?...if u cant detain someone of that age maybe u dont need to be a cop....dont defend this pussy...use common sense..
Curtis, you must be a cop. Fuck you for being such a douche bag! Cops were born human like everyone else. Just because they tell me to do something doesn't give them a right to tase me if I don't do it. That is a complete and utter government control.
@Curtisexplorer "equaity before and under the law is mandatory" that is the first article in the canadian BILL OF RIGHTS and before you split heirs i sincerely doubt it is any different in america.
@gideon001 lets think about this.... "Canadian bill of rights". i shouldnt have to say anymore. If the officer tackled him and cuffed him there would be an issue as well. a taser is NOT deadly force. everybody has to be against the police. (except when they call for help and expect the police to show up)
@Curtisexplorer yes, i believe i said " and before you split heirs, i sincerely doubt it's any different in amarica."
there was also the incidenet at the vancouver airport i believe, where a man was killed by use of tasers. oh wait that can't be, you just said they AREN'T deadly. the media, doctors and R.C.M.P. must all be lying. thats just one example of many. and about hateing cops, y'know those RCMP I mentioned? yah, my father is one. bite me.
shame for american law"maker" elite!!!!shameshae shame!!!!!!also obama dont change nothing!!!(first i w full of hope then -now-i seethe truth. wher are the real amrican bill ofrights?
Cops are out of control. Their like little kids with a new toy. you can't break up a fight between 14 year old kids without using a tazer?
Cops these days are mostly on a power trip. Their all lookin for something exciting, they pray for the chance to tazer or tackle somebody
its wrong. There aren't any checks though. Unless they do something insane they won't get in trouble ever, the superiors will play the pr game but they won't do anything about the situation
the kid is fucken 14 how the hell can u not break them apart an there should be an age limit cause wtf fuck if a cop see a little 10 moth old baby running around then takes someones candy or bottle wat ur gonna taz the shit out of the kid the fucken cop looks like a pedo
the police in the video clip said "that there is no age limit on who can be tasered". great, everyone from babies to senior citizens, step right up and be tased!
It's just a little street level justice, let the cops have their fun. It's not like they killed the kid. I see nothing! All is right with the world........
ahh I don't want to start getting on the circumstances and what not, my point on what I was going to get to is that this news report doesn't actually say what provoked him to use the taser, they breifly say there was a fight and he used it.
This is true. I know I wasn't there to witness anything. But one would think that the officer could have figured out a different means of breaking up a fight between grade-schoolers, than straight electrocuting one of them.
In the cases where people have died after a tazer was used on them, there have been VERY few where the tazer was listed as the primary cause of death. In those cases, the officers used the tazer excessively, and they should be prosecuted. In MOST tazer related death cases, the subject was under the influence of some kind of narcotic like meth, where the heart rate is jacked up significantly to begin with.
Not only a kid, but tasered IN THE BACK??? Look at that cop - he looks absolutely out of his mind. Fucking police state and their "nonlethal" weapons that have killed scores of people already.
As far as your inference that tazers kill people, there have been VERY few people killed where the PRIMARY cause of death was the tazer. Usually, drug use was the primary factor in those cases. In the few cases where the tazer was the primary cause, the people were tazed multiple times by officers who IMO, should not wear the badge.
School "Resource Officers" are cops who screwed up so badly, that they can't be trusted in the public dealing with adults, and they can't be trusted with a gun.
Welcome to the New Amerika, where Government unleashes the department rejects on our kids!
Actually, you can do a lot more harm to a person physically restraining them, and risking an altercation than the tazer does. Unless, you're using the tazer on someone who is already compliant, it can't be called excessive.
"Endangering the welfare of a minor?"
In what way was this minor's welfare endangered? He was not complying with the officer's orders to stop fighting, and the officer followed his procedure. He got a 2 second shot, and the fight's over.
I work in law enforcement. And if I was to use physical force where is IS NOT WARRANTED, I most assuredly would face disciplinary measures including loosing my job.
You use the amount of force NECESSARY to deal with the situation. Tazing a 14 year old for fighting is unacceptable.
"I was to use physical force where is IS NOT WARRANTED, I most assuredly would face disciplinary measures"
Agreed, as it should be.
"the amount of force NECESSARY to deal with the situation"
Again, agreed. The point I'm attempting to illustrate here, is that all of the facts of this case have not been presented in this report. Without all the facts, and without knowing that department's policy, it's impossible to say whether the tazer was necessary.
"Without all the facts, and without knowing that department's policy, it's impossible to say whether the tazer was necessary. "
Unless it's something totally unrealistic, like the child being extremly strong or something, then common sense would point (very strongly) towards the tazer being unecassary.
"Unless it's something totally unrealistic, like the child being extremly strong or something, then common sense would point (very strongly) towards the tazer being unecassary."
Agreed. Unfortunately, in our current climate, common sense is an uncommon virtue. In a situation where you can't touch the kid for fear of being sued, and now can't taze either, what method would you employ? Jedi mind trick perhaps?
I would have stepped in and got in the way of the attacking child if i wanted to avoid being sued etc. If i was in the mood to dis-regard silly policys/rules, then i would have restrained the attacking child. But i would never taze someone unless they deserved it.
"common sense is an uncommon virtue"
+1
Heres a good video, i found it very satisfying, let us know what you think:
I agree with you. I'm kind of old school. In the old days, if you got introuble at school, they'd drag you to the office, call your parents, and Dad would give you a beating. Sadly, those days are gone. Just the fact that we now need cops to police our schools is sad commentary.
On that other video, that cop was clearly wrong, and his buddy took a beating for him. But I'll say this, having taken both personally, I'd rather take one shot from a tazer than 5 hits in the face with a baton :-)
Im better at handling impact pain, so 5 hits to the face for me please.
"we now need cops to police our schools"
I wonder if it's really true, or are out Govt.'s trying to prepare people for whats coming. They seem to be trying to impose as much force on people as they can.
"Tazing a 14 year old for fighting is unacceptable"
No offense intended, but a blaqnket statement like this is ignorant.
How do you know that this dept/school doesn't have a policy in place forbidding officers to grab/restrain students? Until all the facts of the case are in evidence, it's impossible to make a definite determination on what is or is not acceptable in a given situation.
we are talking about a minor here.. 50,000 volts could kill a child.. what if he had a heart mumor or some other condition?? tasers have killed adults before.
i find it disturbing that you are trying to justify tasing a child.
then again we live in a country that routinly tried children as adults.. so, i guess it just doesn't matter anymore..
goodbye good ole usa.. hello, UN controlled 3rd world cesspool
As I've said in previous statements, the only cases in which the tazer was the PRIMARY cause of death were cases where the person was tazed multiple times by an overzealous officer. THEY should be fired.
In our modern society, what's the solution? if the cop had grabbed and restrained the kid, and the kid got hurt, the parents would sue, regardless of what the kid was doing, no? What's the solution?
> only cases in which the tazer was the PRIMARY cause of death were cases where the person was tazed multiple times by an overzealous officer. THEY should be fired.
there are multiple taser death cases, and if a cop kills a person with a taser it should be murder.. not a simply repremand..
Like I said, PRIMARY is the operative word here. I've read MANY of the cases where tazers were involved in the death of a suspect. The great majority of them are wacked out on drugs, and the tazer was the last thing the body could take. That's not the cop's or the tazer's fault. That's the person engaging in the behavior that results in their arrest. In cases where the Tazer is the primary cause of death, and it is determined that the officer used it wrongly or excessively, I agree, it IS murder
"i find it disturbing that you are trying to justify tasing a child."
I find it disturbing that our society has become so Oprafied that we need COPS in our schools to keep order. I'm not saying this officer did the right or the wrong thing in this case. I don't think anyone here is qualified to make that determination. I'm simply stating that conditions exist nowadays that make it very difficult for schools or police to enforce the rules/law.
Even if that was the case it would still be unacceptable to me and many others. Putting a 14 year old through that amount of pain for inflicting far less pain on another child IS very bad, therefore unacceptable.
The only way i can see it as being acceptable would be if it was the only option and the 14 y/o was inflicting an equal amount of pain.
Ok, but this is not how law enforcement measures anything. "An eye for an eye is CLEARLY not the guage for our criminal justice system. it has nothing to do with what the kid that was tazed was doing to the other kid. It has to do with the fact that he failed to comply with the commands of the officer. By that rationale, a police officer could not taze an uncooperative suspect that had just picked your pocket. It's about compliance, not level of offense.
A 200 pound cop couldn't resrain a 120 pound kid???? I had nuns in grade school who could handle this better! I mean really, give him the same treatment-taser him and call it even and since he's not capable of doing his job-he's fired!!!
"I had nuns in grade school who could handle this better."
Here's the problem. I don't know how old you are, but when I was in school, it was the same, the gym teacher would grab the two combatants by the back of their necks, and drag them to the principal's office. Nowadays, you lay a hand on one of these spoiled little shits, and their pantywaist parents are suing the school.
"-taser him"
Just an FYI, all police trainees have to be tazed as part of their training.
I know, but it's still justice. He should at least get fired. BTW I'm 36, and my nuns liked rulers...alot! Now a days they would go broke for the treatment they gave. My dad told them to keep me inline and they did. If you were born in 73 then you know what I'm talking about.
Exactly my point. I didn't go to Catholic school, but I had teachers that took no shit, and a father that took less than that. Yes, I was born in '73, so I do know exactly what you're saying. All I'm saying is, what's the alternative? How do you deal with unruly little shits that you can't lay a hand on without losing your livelihood? That's all I'm looking for from the people clamoring for this guy to lose his job, an alternative.
It all goes back on the parents, who like you said are suing the school. The security guy made a big mistake, but the parents failed in teaching there kid any kind of respect. They go on blaiming everyone else so they don't look bad....I still can't get past how stupid the guard was. If a parent has two kids fighting and don't stop, and taser's one of them to stop, thats child abuse. So unless the kid was atacking him-he was in the wrong. Better parenting and this wouldn't happen.
What has happend to common sense? How come a 200lb officer is unable to physically control a 120lb student?
No age limit on who can be tazered! Better make sure your baby is not crying too loudly then in the presence of a cop. Pathetic! What a weasling excuse for a officer Justin Gollum is!
Tazers were and are supposed to be an alternative to the use of a gun, not to be used as a means to gain compliance through torture. Why do you accept these occurrences?
"Tazers were and are supposed to be an alternative to the use of a gun, not to be used as a means to gain compliance"
WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!! Tazers were meant to significantly reduce the need for police to get into close-quarters, physical battles with unruly suspects. It works.
ESPECIALLY in cases of minors, where people threaten to sue the second you lay a hand on their precious little spoiled, entitled, undisciplined little shitbag kid, regardless of what they're doing.
No! Tazers were and are a replacement to the gun, that was their original intent, not the bullshit you quote.
As for suing a cop, this won't happen if the cop commits his duty within the letter of the law, if he acts questionably, he will be questioned in a court of law, and rightly so.
The tazer is a torture device, and a potentially lethal weapon open to misuse. Cops give multiple shocks to the body, thinking it is okay to do so, it may not be...death by Taser is manslaughter.
"this won't happen if the cop commits his duty within the letter of the law"
Clearly, you don't know the law... Part of the blessing in this country, is also paret of the curse. ANYONE can sue ANYONE for ANYTHING. Regardless of whether or not an officer, teacher, or anyone else acting in any capacity acts "correctly", they can still be sued.
"replacement to the gun, that was their original intent,"
Yet you offer no evidence to support this position. Sorry, you're dead wrong.
So is a gun, police baton, tire iron, hammer, or anything else that you can use to do damage to a person, thanks Captian Obvious.
"Cops give multiple shocks to the body, thinking it is okay to do so, it may not be"
Well, this also goes to personal responsibility. If a cop tazes an already subdued/cuffed suspect, then he's in the wrong. If YOUR behavior got you tazed, then who is responsible for that besides you?
It could be 1st degree murder if you use the tazer with the intent to kill someone. The FACTS are there, less officers AND suspects get hurt because of physical altercations as a direct result of the tazer.
Would you also say that a cop is guilty of manslaughter if he's in a knock-down, drag-out fistfight with an unruly suspect, and the suspect dies of injuries sustained during the fight?
Correction.. Teenage boys, back in the day, when I was in school, USED to get in fistfights. Nowadays, they're shooting and stabbing each other at record rates.
Here's my question for the parents and all the "adults" commenting in the video:
What if, in the process of physically restraining the kid instead of using the taser, the officer, or one of the kids got stabbed? People need to wake up to what kids are doing these days. I say better to taze the kid and be done with it. No one hurt.
"50,000 volts through a 120 pound body--no one hurt. Give me a break."
Have you been tazed? I have. Does it hurt? Yes, for a second, but the point is, no permanent damage. With a physical altercation, that's not always the case.
"And I work with emotionally disturbed kids...
Apples and airplanes. I know teenage kids still physically fight. I have teenagers. The point is, more and more kids are going to school armed, hence the need to have a COP in the school to begin with.
"But we can't just use excessive force just because something MIGHT happen."
On this, you're both right and wrong. You're right when you say excessive force should not be used. EXCESSIVE force should not be used EVER by police. Where you're wrong is how you define excessive. Tazing someone is SIGNIFICANTLY less dangerous both to the suspect, and to the officer. The numbers don't lie. Since many departments now use them, they have DEMONSTRABLY less injuries caused to the officers and suspects.
I bet cops are instructed to use tasers as often as they can. thesae cops really should research the effects. When are any of them going to realise that this isnt on! Are they human or has every ounce of humanity been stripped away! :(
It's not about need, it's about taking the path of least resistance, and least likelihood of suspect or officer being injured.
"But we can't just use excessive force just because something MIGHT happen."
Being a Ron Paul fan, libertine/libertarian, you should already know the answer to that question. The second you lay a hand on one of these snot-nosed, undisciplined little shits, the parents sue you, regardless of what the kid is doing. And what's worse, they win the lawsuit.
"pretty pathetic if you ask me.. what happened to just snatching them up and dragging them to the principle's office?"
Being a Ron Paul fan, libertine/libertarian, you should already know the answer to that question. The second you lay a hand on one of these snot-nosed, undisciplined little shits, the parents sue you, regardless of what the kid is doing. And what's worse, they win the lawsuit.
not even a "punk". Middle school kids fight over stupid stuff... this is common 14 year old boy behavior. In fact, maybe they should have let the two fight it out...
"maybe they should have let the two fight it out..."
Nowadays, you can't do that either. If one of these little pussies got a hangnail, the parents would sue the school/town/police dept/principal for that too.
wow u amaze me, ur able to warp the sense of right and wrong just so u can feed ur own dilutions...because no matter what, no matter how fucked up something is, ur always right. ur my hero.
In what way am I warping anything? And it's DELUSIONS by the way, a dilution would be adding a liquid such as water to a mixture to thin it, just fyi.
"warp the sense of right and wrong just so u can feed ur own dilutions...because no matter what, no matter how fucked up something is, ur always right."
that's not the case at all. What should have been done here in your opinion? You're great at criticizing the position I take, yet offer no data or counterpoint to the debate.
I wonder if the cop yelled stop now or i'm going to tase you! If the cop would have pulled his extendable baton this could have got alot nastier, pepper spray would have got both of them and isn't totaly safe
First of all, it's not really 50,000 volts...its 1800 when it connects...and why is no one talking about the kids beating the shit out of each other and a police officer simply stopping the beating?

Its funny.... police tasering people who they "THINK" is dangerous. Nice...Epic Nice.. Godly America one day the people will take down the gov and their enforcement will be ruled by the people who they bullied. tasers dont kill its the medical condition of the suspect that had been tased that kills its not the officers job to research everyones medical condition if you are beating someone up and dont stop when told expect a little bite in the ass
gjn00100 10 months ago
@gjn00100 I think you need to do a little more research on tasers. Try Wikipedia type in "taser deaths."
MrRick32466 9 months ago
I am 14, I would take the taser if it was me, but the cop did show favoritism, they should carry 2 tasers.
aForkandaSpoon 11 months ago
That one women is stupid. The whole point of a tazer is that it's non-lethal.
MrAnducks 11 months ago
If it was a white kid then yeah, the cop used excessive force.

50,000 volts is nothing.... LMFAO "that could kill someone"
ive been tased by 1.5 million volts and im fine.... wow pussys walk it off.
naxrox 1 year ago
this is bullshit, people need to stop bitching about a taser.

NOT TASER, STUNT Gun.
2 very different things.
TASERS shoot out 2 1 inch prongs(needles w/ hooks in the ends) that penetrate the skin/bone and deliver electric current measured in AMPS.
Stunt Guns don't shoot anything, simply spark up electric current measured in VOLTS that when pressed on the skin STUNS the nervous system.

50000 volts hurts but its not the voltage that kills you, its the ampage.

izzy414able 1 year ago
@izzy414able Walking away from a fight doesnt make anybody a pussy, it makes them smart. Breaking your hands isnt worth it if youre just trying to show someone whos boss. Its easy to make someone feel stupid just by talking to them and proving theyre wrong. I think its great, the expression on somebodys face when they have no comeback. Why feel pain? Why pay hospital bills? When you can show someone how ignorant they are. Besides, at the risk of being arrested, it really isnt worth it at all.
comodo24 1 year ago
@comodo24 Dood i aint saying go pick on the little guy cuz shit im the little guy but what the hell is wrong with a fight and the point is if a cop cant brake up a couple of 12 year olds hes fired, and ill tell you what ide be willing to bet if teachers just started sending kids out back to take care of a problem there prabably be less shootings hey thats just me!
izzy414able 1 year ago
@izzy414able Whats wrong with it? How about the fact that a fight isnt controllable by the ones fighting. If you let 2 kids duke it out, who's to say the fight WONT get too far. Lets say the one kid gets a lucky punch and k.o.'s the other. Maybe the 1st kid isnt satisfied or maybe he just plain blacks out and continues to hit the unconscious kid to death. Fights are dangerous and that cop new that the tazer was the best way of ending it without serious injury.
comodo24 1 year ago
@comodo24 Yea well guess what i guess you could say these two kids still have a problem thats not finished and instead of bracking up a fight the way its been done for centuries the police could have anouther kid thats gonna couse problems for them latter on in life just maby! All im saying is body slam the little fuckers if you have to! Not all cops but seems like alot just feel they can taze and more than likly are just realeasing some of that adrinalen they never get to unload!
izzy414able 1 year ago
@izzy414able PG1-Lets say the cop pulled the kids apart but the cop weighs a lot more then the kids, the cop pulls too hard and breaks the kids arm. What do you think would happen to the cop? I'll tell you, 1st the school would call the parents, then the parents would want revenge and they would sue the school, the police department and the cop.
comodo24 1 year ago
@comodo24 Its cool man i see were in a disagreement and niether one of us are giving up cmon man it be alot better if you just agreed with me lol! Fuck it they should just taze everyone. And all those kids that saw it are scared for life and need to see a counsler for mintal tharapy this whole story stinks sorry i just dont see it!
izzy414able 1 year ago
PG2-The cop would be put on suspension until a hearing on whether he did the right thing or not and perhaps he would be fired or perhaps not. The cop realized the risks and decided that a taser, which has no long term harmful effects, would be the safest method of breaking the kids apart. Just letting people fight is wrong and it just leads to more fighting. I think you should re-evaluate your morals and methods. There is always a better way.

A 200 lb policeman couldn`t have simply pulled a 120 lb kid off the other? Why were police called in the 1st place? Can teachers not handle fist fights anymore?

Wrong, i carry a taser on duty, took the class, been shot with it,...they cant kill. People have been tazed when they were on drugs. They were already dead but the drugs and adrenaline were keeping them alive. They were shot with the taser and later died when they came down from the drugs. They were going to die anyways. Thats how this whole taser kills thing began. It duplicates the signals from the brain. Its easier to say it kills then to take the time and learn something before you speak.
Foghornleghorn26 2 years ago
you're full of shit.. they can kill people who have certain medical conditions. you can't tell if you are tasering a person that has a condition or not.. at least not until their dead. then it's easy to say they were on drugs, or were dead anyway..
what a load of shit.. and coming out of the mouth of a cop too.. imagine that.
RonPaulvsTyranny 2 years ago 2
@RonPaulvsTyranny Ron, your a very angry person who obviously has something against cops. A life of crime, getting caught, and having to pay for the crimes you committed could make a person act the way you do. Its very simple. If your violent, are a threat to officers or anyone else, and acting out in a public setting, you are subject to being tazed. Police do not want violent people within arms reach of their deadly weapons. Deadly force wasn't warranted so the tazer was chosen in this case.

FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
Not only a kid, but tasered IN THE BACK??? Look at that cop - he looks absolutely out of his mind. Fucking police state and their "nonlethal" weapons that have killed scores of people already.

FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
As far as your inference that tazers kill people, there have been VERY few people killed where the PRIMARY cause of death was the tazer. Usually, drug use was the primary factor in those cases. In the few cases where the tazer was the primary cause, the people were tazed multiple times by officers who IMO, should not wear the badge.

"Police are persuing assault charges"? Why is the cop not being brought up on excessive force charges? Endangering the welfare of a minor? Something!
jay7a2j 2 years ago
"excessive force charges?"
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
I work in law enforcement. And if I was to use physical force where is IS NOT WARRANTED, I most assuredly would face disciplinary measures including loosing my job.
You use the amount of force NECESSARY to deal with the situation. Tazing a 14 year old for fighting is unacceptable.
jay7a2j 2 years ago
"I was to use physical force where is IS NOT WARRANTED, I most assuredly would face disciplinary measures"
Agreed, as it should be.
"the amount of force NECESSARY to deal with the situation"
Again, agreed. The point I'm attempting to illustrate here, is that all of the facts of this case have not been presented in this report. Without all the facts, and without knowing that department's policy, it's impossible to say whether the tazer was necessary.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
"Without all the facts, and without knowing that department's policy, it's impossible to say whether the tazer was necessary. "
Unless it's something totally unrealistic, like the child being extremly strong or something, then common sense would point (very strongly) towards the tazer being unecassary.
NotMarkk 2 years ago
"Unless it's something totally unrealistic, like the child being extremly strong or something, then common sense would point (very strongly) towards the tazer being unecassary."
Agreed. Unfortunately, in our current climate, common sense is an uncommon virtue. In a situation where you can't touch the kid for fear of being sued, and now can't taze either, what method would you employ? Jedi mind trick perhaps?
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
I would have stepped in and got in the way of the attacking child if i wanted to avoid being sued etc. If i was in the mood to dis-regard silly policys/rules, then i would have restrained the attacking child. But i would never taze someone unless they deserved it.

"tasers have killed adults before"
As I've said in previous statements, the only cases in which the tazer was the PRIMARY cause of death were cases where the person was tazed multiple times by an overzealous officer. THEY should be fired.
In our modern society, what's the solution? if the cop had grabbed and restrained the kid, and the kid got hurt, the parents would sue, regardless of what the kid was doing, no? What's the solution?
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
> only cases in which the tazer was the PRIMARY cause of death were cases where the person was tazed multiple times by an overzealous officer. THEY should be fired.
there are multiple taser death cases, and if a cop kills a person with a taser it should be murder.. not a simply repremand..
damn you people are idiots.
RonPaulvsTyranny 2 years ago
Like I said, PRIMARY is the operative word here. I've read MANY of the cases where tazers were involved in the death of a suspect. The great majority of them are wacked out on drugs, and the tazer was the last thing the body could take. That's not the cop's or the tazer's fault. That's the person engaging in the behavior that results in their arrest. In cases where the Tazer is the primary cause of death, and it is determined that the officer used it wrongly or excessively, I agree, it IS murder
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago

NotMarkk 2 years ago
"inflicting an equal amount of pain."
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
Ye, unfortunatly it is :-(
It should be done the fair way.

FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
I know, but it's still justice. He should at least get fired. BTW I'm 36, and my nuns liked rulers...alot! Now a days they would go broke for the treatment they gave. My dad told them to keep me inline and they did. If you were born in 73 then you know what I'm talking about.
1oct1 2 years ago
Exactly my point. I didn't go to Catholic school, but I had teachers that took no shit, and a father that took less than that. Yes, I was born in '73, so I do know exactly what you're saying. All I'm saying is, what's the alternative? How do you deal with unruly little shits that you can't lay a hand on without losing your livelihood? That's all I'm looking for from the people clamoring for this guy to lose his job, an alternative.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
It all goes back on the parents, who like you said are suing the school. The security guy made a big mistake, but the parents failed in teaching there kid any kind of respect. They go on blaiming everyone else so they don't look bad....I still can't get past how stupid the guard was. If a parent has two kids fighting and don't stop, and taser's one of them to stop, thats child abuse. So unless the kid was atacking him-he was in the wrong. Better parenting and this wouldn't happen.
1oct1 2 years ago
What has happend to common sense? How come a 200lb officer is unable to physically control a 120lb student?
No age limit on who can be tazered! Better make sure your baby is not crying too loudly then in the presence of a cop. Pathetic! What a weasling excuse for a officer Justin Gollum is!
Tazers were and are supposed to be an alternative to the use of a gun, not to be used as a means to gain compliance through torture. Why do you accept these occurrences?
Elysiumfire 2 years ago
"Tazers were and are supposed to be an alternative to the use of a gun, not to be used as a means to gain compliance"
WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!! Tazers were meant to significantly reduce the need for police to get into close-quarters, physical battles with unruly suspects. It works.
ESPECIALLY in cases of minors, where people threaten to sue the second you lay a hand on their precious little spoiled, entitled, undisciplined little shitbag kid, regardless of what they're doing.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
Elysiumfire 2 years ago
"this won't happen if the cop commits his duty within the letter of the law"
Clearly, you don't know the law... Part of the blessing in this country, is also paret of the curse. ANYONE can sue ANYONE for ANYTHING. Regardless of whether or not an officer, teacher, or anyone else acting in any capacity acts "correctly", they can still be sued.
"replacement to the gun, that was their original intent,"
Yet you offer no evidence to support this position. Sorry, you're dead wrong.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
"a potentially lethal weapon open to misuse"
So is a gun, police baton, tire iron, hammer, or anything else that you can use to do damage to a person, thanks Captian Obvious.
"Cops give multiple shocks to the body, thinking it is okay to do so, it may not be"
Well, this also goes to personal responsibility. If a cop tazes an already subdued/cuffed suspect, then he's in the wrong. If YOUR behavior got you tazed, then who is responsible for that besides you?
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
"death by Taser is manslaughter."

Teenage boys are gonna get in fights. This was ridiculous.
alnewberry 2 years ago
Correction.. Teenage boys, back in the day, when I was in school, USED to get in fistfights. Nowadays, they're shooting and stabbing each other at record rates.
Here's my question for the parents and all the "adults" commenting in the video:
What if, in the process of physically restraining the kid instead of using the taser, the officer, or one of the kids got stabbed? People need to wake up to what kids are doing these days. I say better to taze the kid and be done with it. No one hurt.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
50,000 volts through a 120 pound body--no one hurt. Give me a break.
And I work with emotionally disturbed kids, so I can tell you teenage boys still physically fight. Usually no need even to intervene.
IF someone got stabbed, then it would be a chargeable offense. But we can't just use excessive force just because something MIGHT happen.
alnewberry 2 years ago
"50,000 volts through a 120 pound body--no one hurt. Give me a break."
Have you been tazed? I have. Does it hurt? Yes, for a second, but the point is, no permanent damage. With a physical altercation, that's not always the case.
"And I work with emotionally disturbed kids...
Apples and airplanes. I know teenage kids still physically fight. I have teenagers. The point is, more and more kids are going to school armed, hence the need to have a COP in the school to begin with.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
"But we can't just use excessive force just because something MIGHT happen."
On this, you're both right and wrong. You're right when you say excessive force should not be used. EXCESSIVE force should not be used EVER by police. Where you're wrong is how you define excessive. Tazing someone is SIGNIFICANTLY less dangerous both to the suspect, and to the officer. The numbers don't lie. Since many departments now use them, they have DEMONSTRABLY less injuries caused to the officers and suspects.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
I bet cops are instructed to use tasers as often as they can. thesae cops really should research the effects. When are any of them going to realise that this isnt on! Are they human or has every ounce of humanity been stripped away! :(

My GOD, do you really need a taser to put down a teenage punk?

i guess if you are a fat ass, or skinny ass for that matter cop, then yea... i guess you obviously do.
pretty pathetic if you ask me.. what happened to just snatching them up and dragging them to the principle's office?
RonPaulvsTyranny 2 years ago
Lawyers !!! lay a hand on the kids and the parents sue your ass.
I bet this kid's phone is ringing off the hook from them.
gemhunter99 2 years ago
It's not about need, it's about taking the path of least resistance, and least likelihood of suspect or officer being injured.
"But we can't just use excessive force just because something MIGHT happen."
Being a Ron Paul fan, libertine/libertarian, you should already know the answer to that question. The second you lay a hand on one of these snot-nosed, undisciplined little shits, the parents sue you, regardless of what the kid is doing. And what's worse, they win the lawsuit.
FLASHMAN1973 2 years ago
I mispasted this

not even a "punk". Middle school kids fight over stupid stuff... this is common 14 year old boy behavior. In fact, maybe they should have let the two fight it out...
thedemoboy 2 years ago
