If there's nothing cosmetically wrong with her eyes, she could go with an extremely dark Wayfarer. I'd get the lenses replaced with something you can't see through, so people will know you're blind if you go out. If she's serious about dressing it up, she could get a special pair made that are black and wrap around but with stones at the temples for formals. If she's a sorority girl but that would look great for formals. Then lay on the makeup. Whew...she'd make me wish I was twenty again.
