i have a difficult choice :( What should i get 550D or HV30? Im looking for making film look movies, which one is best for me?

I did the same thing. I love the 550d and will never look back. My hv20 was cool but its night and day between the two cameras. I used a dof adapter on the hv20 and when I got the 550d I forgot how nice it was not having to hold it upside down or do hacks on it lol.

@TamilPsycho Sony Vegas, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Avid. They are two black screens that are pushed to the top and bottom of the frame.

This tight man! I got a canon hv40 right now, I'ma sell that though and pay the difference to get an 550d rebel too! I was going to get the 60d, but there not much of a difference except for the build and that's not worth the extra $3-$400! Congrats!

@kapselus1989 @kapselus1989 I am thinking of doing the exact same thing... I have the HF100 and was just about to buy a jag35 but not this looks like a much better option. Did you go ahead and get it?

@kapselus1989 That would be a very smart idea. DOF adapter will cut your light down and have a much larger crop factor. Plus you will always have to shoot wide open.
