  • do u actually realise, you're standing in hell?

  • isnt chernobyl the river?

  • @carpetmonk The river is the 'Pripyat' river, Chernobyl is the city about 10km south of the power plant of which it was named after.

  • call of duty

  • @perfection474 Cock of Doody can go to hell..... S.T.A.L.K.E.R trilogy is the way to go if you want virtual experience of Chernobyl

  • @perfection474 Call of Duty sucks!

I wouldn't even wipe a Holmes's persons ass with the disk!

It is a piece of shit! Black ops sucks.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is the way to go!

  • damn this place seems just like fallout 3. i just have to ask... has anyone ever tried to go to this place and scavenge and steal things from the ruins. and may i ask. is this place just a ghost town. or a tourist attraction

  • @rebel9568 ghost town, the military stop you from stealing stuff. they are thinking of doing tours to the area. i know its a late response lol

  • CoD4 Bloc

    CoD6 Wasteland

    xDxD

  • @tkodawg1 wow you are soo smart -.-

  • everythin looks like you could jus flick a switch n things wud work again, like the bumpercars, they still look useable , and the wheel. really creepy , that stuff hast moved in yearrssss

  • The amusemunt park is really eerie to watch, because it's the true embodiment of it being a ghost town. You can almost hear children having fun there.

  • HOLY SHIT THATS THE POOL IN COD 4

  • oh really ? i know this bevore cod 4 comes out ...

  • and the ferris wheel... cod4 had a level out in chernobyl

  • at least you wont get fuel rods from Chernobyl anymore! reator number 4 is blown to pieces, going in there to collect ome would mean suicide, the other 3 reactors are safely been put out of order, no change of getting them out. Also there is the ukrain army who is garding the plant and everthing else.

  • Check this out. My Son is playing "Call of Duty 4" on XBOX 360. The battle area is Pripyat and the setting is exactally the same as in real life. I had my Son watch a 7 part On youtube about Chernobyl with me. He said makes him appreciate the game more. I wondered, what prevents someone from getting their hands on material to make a dirty bomb? In the video game this is the theme.

    Strange synchronicity.

  • The distortion and crackeling on the audio recording, tells me there is still a great deal of radiation in the area.

  • i think it's like you drive trhough a totally empty world.without any life than yours..

    incredible but also very scary..

  • there is a show about people who still live in the exclusion zone. mostly old people who wanted to return to their homes. the govt just ignores them

  • So many years after and it is still radioactive...

  • amazing video i must say!

the most importat question of all, are you ok?, i mean there's a lot of radiation overthere, even if they say that is way secure to be around, do you check yourself, did go to a doctor to see if everything was ok?

    just wondering!

    sorry about my english!

  • Everyone check the video response i added above, it is from my 2009 trip to the zone and in 720p HD. other parts will follow soon.

  • dude isnt it still radeo active? and can anyone go or do u have to have military permission?

  • u need a permission but its not hard to get it and some parts are not radeo active anymore idk how that works but i think they cleaned it ...however everyone can visit it

  • U can do guided tours through the zone. You get a geiger conter and a ukranian military guide and the u can explore Chernobyl ;)

  • Is it still radioactive at the factory, why they are there whitout any protection :S

  • For anyone whos interested ive just added a lot more photos to my website from my trip to chernobyl in may of this year, go to firesuite, com

  • can anyone go there or do they need permission?

  • how much inhabitants had Pripjet before the accident? 200000?

  • Just under 50,000 in Pripyat. Estimates for the whole 30km zone are at around 116,000

  • yepp Pripyat had about 49000 inhabitants

  • HZRchilla... Call of duty 4 it's game...

    Chernobyl, prypyat....history...

  • the azure pool is in Call of Duty 4 thatz coll HEADSHOT O*O

  • lol wuld be scared to wallk thetre in my one with al those ugly mutant ppl lol!

  • They must have been a bit darft to get that cloce to reactor 4 with out protetion and S.T.A.L..K.E.R. is realy cool i admin it was scary but id get it and good vid

  • call of duty

  • STALKER

  • I`m sorry about my comments, but video without stabilisation it`s just nothing... Holding one point and then bundling pieces will bring better results... :)

  • all the trees are dead

  • @angelicsnoww the trees arent dead its winter time dip shit

  • @jukodebu

lol i dont see no snow kid XD

youre such a looser, i seriusly cant beleive youre commenting me about this after a year since ive posted it

  • i wana go there when im grow up!

  • me too it looks so cool i hope its still a ghost town when im gona be an adult

  • same !

  • You kids played STALKER? If not, dont, it scared the sh1t outta me!

  • lol

  • by the time you're an adult, the whole world will be a ghost town

  • why

  • 2012 ^^

  • i don't believe that 2012 will be the end of the world there were allot of end of the worlds but they where all wrong.

  • Damn true.Mankind have predicted the world will end so many times and nothing have happen. The true is that the world will end when you die.Period.And mayan culture can suck my dick.

  • 50.000 ppl lived in pribyat thats so scared when u have 2 be there when i were u i wouda cry and run away

  • now u will transform in to Bloodysucker or Snork ^^ ( S:SoC )

  • Krass !

Das ist echt mal gruselig !!

Der Mensch ist doch dem Menschen größter Feind !!!

  • оператору явно понравилось колесо обозрения)

  • Dude, there are TOURS you can book to go there. If you stay in the proper areas (IE: outside of the Red Forest) you won't even get a dosage comparable to an x-ray or trans-Atlantic flight. There are two main isotopes, the extremely dangerous one, and the less dangerous one. The dangerous one has a much quicker half-life and are all but gone now. The low-level isotopes are all that's left. Taking a two day tour won't do jack to you, but living there is iffy.

  • So at least the explosion created pretty profitable turistic place ;). (joke)

  • Well, there's also the matter of in-air versus in land/in sea. I imagine the tourists are bringing their own food, and likely why water pumps in Chernobyl City are above-ground.

  • 50 tousend peoples live there now is a ghost town wuahaaaaa

    im so scared ^^

  • 50000 people used to live there ;D CoD4 ftw :D

Mich würde so ein Trip auch mal interessieren.

  • It`s so fucking quite out there...i would be scared...how did you get inside?

    mfg

  • you have to be 18 to get in due to health reasons (obviously) it still leaks radiation, its still radioactive all over, no one can live there for another 150-200 years, and its preety fucking creepy, the soviet flag still flies from chernoyble.

  • The sound is a pile of crap...

  • There are places in this video that were used in Call of Duty 4 MP & SP

  • omg dude thats a radioactive zone o.0

  • i dont get it what happened there?

  • an accident at a nuclear power plant near by released radio active dust forcing all residents to leave or die basicly its still iradiated but there are some safe areas to get a tour around but a guide is always needed to mesure the radiation and such

  • ..............................

  • Iv all ways wanted to go.

How did you actualy get inside?

Did you have to ask along the road, or just go their?

  • There is some awesome footage in here which scales the disaster of Chernobyl

  • 3:35 reminds me of fallout 3^^

  • but isn't the trip dangerous?...I mean 10% of the radiation was caused by Caesium 137, which is highly toxic. And it has a half life of 30 and something years...so...isn't that life-threatening in a way...cuz the explosion was in 1986...and it's been 23 years, not 30+...so caesium should still be in the air at least.

  • yeah why do you drive through a radioactive zone^^

  • Some times radioactive some times not,

some time you see people picknicing

  • Hard to imagine the hardship and suffering people had to endure. Thank you for the video; truly humbling.

  • Wow, to see this on youtube after having played in the swimming pool scene from call of duty 4, i am amazed, and now ever so touched by the thought of Chernobyl...

    (2:35)

  • thank you for posting this. The most tragic thing about the town of Chernobyl now is the utterly desolate silence...

  • amazing.

  • this is scary, those damaged objects remind me on war, but this is much more worse! How come they let people come there, isn`t that area dangerous???

  • As long as you stay there for one day only, there isn't any danger.

  • to live yea to visit no aslong as its not long but ull only get a dental xrays worth of radition so u wont get cancer that way

  • looks like our planet in 2080, if were not lucky you kno...

  • looks like our planet in 2012

  • this people are insane -.-

  • this people provs thats poseble to survive in chernobil

  • Incredible footage thanks for posting.

  • Are there any dead bodies in those areas?

  • Is that crackling noise the radiation ?

  • It's the geiger counter that measures radiation i would expect

  • Do you need special permission to access prypiat or surrounding area??

  • yes of course you need a special permission and when you want leave the area you must do a sort of chimical shower

  • are the insides of houses not very dangerous?

because there is more stuff for the radiation to stay on so thats why i thought it wouldnt be very safe

any way i'm going there with a couple of friends and i cant wait it looks the hell of alot like my home town cumbernauld look it up =)

  • this city was like ahead of the time.its a good place to live man..except there is one problem with it it has tons of radiation caused by the accident

  • those guys got their "nuts" fried!!

  • Call of Duty 4 in real

  • Get a life.

  • ifnot for the accident, would be a pretty area to live! i see blue skies and treees. :D

  • cool footage :) got any photo's posted anywhere?

  • omg its just like call of duy 4 :o and the swiming pool looks exsatly the same

  • No, Call of duty is just like this.

  • How long did you stay there for? I know you have a guide and all but can radiation move to a difference places over time or does it stay in one place?

  • Does it cost anything to go there??? As in do you not have to pay admission to tour guides and things like that?

  • Well we did, do a google search for chernobyl tours theres a couple on there, plane flights obviously cost money and we paid more for a private tour rather than being on a bus with 15 others. we also stayed in the Chernobyl hotel overnight, how cool is that ;)

  • isnt it dangerous to go there??? Hello ppl!!! RADIATION!!! wy do u even wanna go there??? some1 reply to me

  • Certain parts of the zone are still indeed very dangerous, most of the fallout blew north and west of Pripyat after the accident so the city is fairly safe to walk round for a day or two, plus it all got conpletely washed down by liquidators in the months after the accident. You'll still need a guide to tell you what areas are safe to visit and which are not.

  • i really want to go there, I was always interested and captivated by the Chernobyl incident... I live 10 minutes away from Three Mile Island in Pa and this shit couldve happpened to us here.

  • Gawd, im tired of all those "COD4 roxx" comments on a serious video about Chernobyl/Pripyat

  • Even though I have the game.. I get pissed off at people like that, that find an excuse to talk about it.

  • Im suprised no one mentions S.T.A.L.K.E.R. instead, theres much more of Pripyat and the zone to be seen in that game than COD4.

  • I've never heard of that game, what's it on?

  • i was there... i can give you photos. icq 430244597

  • OMG cod4 was right!!!!!!

  • of course it was

  • i thought u couldnt go in there cuz of the radiation??

  • It certain areas its not so bad, but in others you really shouldnt go there. Apparently a day in Pripyat is the same as being baked in the sun for 6 days.

  • COD4 ^_^ My fave level.

  • You-Tube is too thick to get the reference obviously...

  • izzit dangerous if we go there?

  • did u find about chernobyl just now

  • COD4!!

  • mmm...COD4...in that game its not all about chernobyl... i say the game that relates mostly to chernobyl is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-Shadow Of Chernobyl.

  • The amusement park ferris wheel is infamous... The dodgem car as well. Aparently, they have the highest incidence of radiation in that area - judging by the static on the mic of the phone, that theory is confirmed. I have heard that the moss that forms between the cracks in the pavement is also highly contaminated. Call me crazy but Chernobyl is a place that I want to visit one day.

  • The Ferris wheel wasnt too bad.The dodgems were safe to walk around inside the actual ride but as you say around the edges where the moss build up was thats where the most concentrated radiation was, my friend walked all the way around the edge unknowingly at the time, the guide just laughed :) but there were far more dangerous areas in Pripyat than the amusement park, such as the port area.

  • Can you tell us what problem is with the port?

  • "MAN MADE HELL"

  • If you want, go buy/dl a game called STALKER shadow of chernobyl, its like the real thing, lots of detail and rly fun

  • How did it feel to be in cherynobyl??

  • completely awesome experience thats hard to put into words really, even 3 months after its still embedded in my brain and i dream about the place regularly, needless to say i want to go back at some point :)

  • I'm intrested in going to that place to tour in the future...what are the procedures and contacts??

  • the swimming pool and the amusment park are from call of duty 4! i thouth the makers of call of duty just made up the place. :P

  • what does it smell like there?

  • isn't there radiation there?

  • yes there is, and more in certain ares than in others, its safe for a day or two in the zone as long as you have a guide with you that knows where to go and where not to go

  • poor city (

  • the gymnasium, it's the same place on Call Of Duty 4 game.
