damn this place seems just like fallout 3. i just have to ask... has anyone ever tried to go to this place and scavenge and steal things from the ruins. and may i ask. is this place just a ghost town. or a tourist attraction
everythin looks like you could jus flick a switch n things wud work again, like the bumpercars, they still look useable , and the wheel. really creepy , that stuff hast moved in yearrssss
The amusemunt park is really eerie to watch, because it's the true embodiment of it being a ghost town. You can almost hear children having fun there.
at least you wont get fuel rods from Chernobyl anymore! reator number 4 is blown to pieces, going in there to collect ome would mean suicide, the other 3 reactors are safely been put out of order, no change of getting them out. Also there is the ukrain army who is garding the plant and everthing else.
Check this out. My Son is playing "Call of Duty 4" on XBOX 360. The battle area is Pripyat and the setting is exactally the same as in real life. I had my Son watch a 7 part On youtube about Chernobyl with me. He said makes him appreciate the game more. I wondered, what prevents someone from getting their hands on material to make a dirty bomb? In the video game this is the theme.
the most importat question of all, are you ok?, i mean there's a lot of radiation overthere, even if they say that is way secure to be around, do you check yourself, did go to a doctor to see if everything was ok?
u need a permission but its not hard to get it and some parts are not radeo active anymore idk how that works but i think they cleaned it ...however everyone can visit it
They must have been a bit darft to get that cloce to reactor 4 with out protetion and S.T.A.L..K.E.R. is realy cool i admin it was scary but id get it and good vid
I`m sorry about my comments, but video without stabilisation it`s just nothing... Holding one point and then bundling pieces will bring better results... :)
Damn true.Mankind have predicted the world will end so many times and nothing have happen. The true is that the world will end when you die.Period.And mayan culture can suck my dick.
Dude, there are TOURS you can book to go there. If you stay in the proper areas (IE: outside of the Red Forest) you won't even get a dosage comparable to an x-ray or trans-Atlantic flight. There are two main isotopes, the extremely dangerous one, and the less dangerous one. The dangerous one has a much quicker half-life and are all but gone now. The low-level isotopes are all that's left. Taking a two day tour won't do jack to you, but living there is iffy.
Well, there's also the matter of in-air versus in land/in sea. I imagine the tourists are bringing their own food, and likely why water pumps in Chernobyl City are above-ground.
you have to be 18 to get in due to health reasons (obviously) it still leaks radiation, its still radioactive all over, no one can live there for another 150-200 years, and its preety fucking creepy, the soviet flag still flies from chernoyble.
an accident at a nuclear power plant near by released radio active dust forcing all residents to leave or die basicly its still iradiated but there are some safe areas to get a tour around but a guide is always needed to mesure the radiation and such
but isn't the trip dangerous?...I mean 10% of the radiation was caused by Caesium 137, which is highly toxic. And it has a half life of 30 and something years...so...isn't that life-threatening in a way...cuz the explosion was in 1986...and it's been 23 years, not 30+...so caesium should still be in the air at least.
Wow, to see this on youtube after having played in the swimming pool scene from call of duty 4, i am amazed, and now ever so touched by the thought of Chernobyl...
this city was like ahead of the time.its a good place to live man..except there is one problem with it it has tons of radiation caused by the accident
How long did you stay there for? I know you have a guide and all but can radiation move to a difference places over time or does it stay in one place?
Well we did, do a google search for chernobyl tours theres a couple on there, plane flights obviously cost money and we paid more for a private tour rather than being on a bus with 15 others. we also stayed in the Chernobyl hotel overnight, how cool is that ;)
Certain parts of the zone are still indeed very dangerous, most of the fallout blew north and west of Pripyat after the accident so the city is fairly safe to walk round for a day or two, plus it all got conpletely washed down by liquidators in the months after the accident. You'll still need a guide to tell you what areas are safe to visit and which are not.
i really want to go there, I was always interested and captivated by the Chernobyl incident... I live 10 minutes away from Three Mile Island in Pa and this shit couldve happpened to us here.
