  • Artist: Dead Can Dance

  • Nice.

Movie ending was way more powerful, though. (I don't consider King to be a good writer anyway.)

  • 0:34 OMFG ITS SOOOO CUTE MOM CAN I HAS 1 TEHY H4X mom:no

  • :,(,,

  • Underrated movie, all I need to say.

  • oh my fucking gooood is there any fuckin normal ending video of the ending of this fucking movie on the fuuuuuckiiiin youtuuuubeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????Aaaaaaaaaaaaarrgrgefgfgegfer

  • @dijlil2 Godzilla vs this giant son of a bitch.

  • @mgsexistence godzilla, unless this motherfucker have special powers, shoots acid shit and whatnot.

  • stephen king is a duash

  • @SuperDemonater No, the people who take his works and give them crappy endings are dooshes. This is how the novella ended. Not with some retarded m night shyamaln twist. o let me shoot my son two secs before the fucking us army rolls thru. thats stupid

  • i think its fucking sick

  • ITS A GIANT TURTLE BAT :D

  • when i watched the end of this where he shot them :L my heart skipped like 100 beats :L it was true sadness

  • The ending of the movie was bad. It makes no sense. So what if they're stranded? They got this far, and still live. Why not try making a run for it? If they'd die out there, at least they'd died trying instead of in a car.

  • @darthguy3 Because they didn't want to end up dying like everyone else; spiders ripping out of their bodies, being torn apart limb by limb by giant creatures, etc.

they'd rather die a quick and painless death, which in my mind, doesn't seem that bad of a way out under those circumstances.

  • @SoundsMadness They were only some people staying in one place in a mall. They had no way of knowing the possibilities of getting away safely when moving, even when by foot. They just assumed they'd die instead of actually evaluating options. No one has such one track minds. Most people would always try to run.

  • @darthguy3 You'd be surprised what fear can make people do.

When they were in the grocery store, every tijme they went out, someone died.

Via. the dudes that went out for their cars or the black dude who thought it was all a hoax.

So, out of fear of dying, they tried to avoid going outside on foot.

Surprisingly enough though, the chick who went out for her kids found her way home and got away safe with them.

He had a feeling they were going to die, along with everyone else in the car.

  • @SoundsMadness True enough, but fear of death is normally what gives people an extreme will to survive, as opposed to giving up!

  • @darthguy3 Well, in the car everybody was agreeing that they didn't want to end up like the others. So the dude sacrificed himself to make sure they didn't have to go through what they all saw happened to the other people that fell victim to the creatures.

  • @SoundsMadness I realize that, it's just that the whole event in the car struck me as unlikely.

  • @darthguy3 Well, different people have different thoughts.

  • @darthguy3 it makes perfect sense. In case you didn't know Stephen King is not in the business of having rosy dawn sunshine endings, he tends to kill his characters off, all of them. It's true as late he let quite a few walk away, but that was all in the storytelling, don't be surprised when they don't get out, it's just what he does.

  • @ofdiscordia It doesn't make more sense just because Stephen King is a poor writer. Because repeating themselves is what poor writers does. Regardless, in the book they didn't die like in the movie. Because you do realize I'm talking of the movie? That I thought the ending of the movie was horrible, due to the fact that humans normally find the will to fight for survival when threatened, they don't finish themselves off. The books ending is a lot better. It leaves you thinking.

  • @darthguy3 Maybe you should have started with this comment instead of ending with it.

  • I meen it was good but they could have made it where atleast the son and dad dont die.

  • Worst ending ever

  • How the hell does that thing support it's own weight in Earth's gravity?

  • @MrBranagain I don't know, but here's a few theories (Since I've been wondering myself):

    1. It isn't made of the same stuff Earth creatures are. Titanium bones or some weirdness like that.

    2. The creatures are operating by a different set of physics (And carrying it with them somehow?)

    3. It's not as heavy as it looks

    4. Magic! *jazz hands*

  • holy sheet the mofos huge

  • yea but true that ending was the most un-expected endings in the world...

  • One of the best horror films I've seen in an age; The true monsters......us. Just look at Mrs Carmedy the religious nut in the movie. She was worse than the creatures

  • Fucking cthulu...

  • Damn

  • this ending is so much better.I can't believe king actually liked it

  • IA IA Shub Niggurath, black goat of the woods with a thousand young!

  • That's some weird H.P.Lovercraft shit :P

  • Kurandowned --- this may be how Stephen King ended his story, but he also saw the movie and called Frank Darabont and told him that the ending in the movie was better and he wished he had thought of it and wrote it that way.

  • this director is just fuked up man......... i really hated that part :C

  • I would have prefered this version of the ending but better realized. In this version we feel that it is the end of days, there's no way to escape of the mist....

  • @Tripsysteme

I suppose that you did not read the ending, where he whispers "Hartford (CT)....hope." I'm not sure how much Stephen King that you've read, but he tends to put balance into his stories (some may call him boring for that...I think it's nice to see where both good and evil have a chance). I'm guessing that the reference means that there is a community uniting in Hartford, CT raising the ability to fight the Mist; just like in "The Stand".

  • @MrHoiPoLoi I've never read any novels by Stephen King, (im sorry) but the next time I'll go to the bookstore, I'll buy a novel written by him. Well, yes I read the ending but when we see the mist at the worldwide, even if we know that people are fighting against the monsters, we believe (or only me ?) it's not effective and hopeless

  • What was that huge thing if u stop the video at 0:26 I don't know what that thing is someone tell me not to be a pain tho...

  • @robloxloverdude

It's a "huge thing". But, classification and categorization of events and perceptions is the basis of our intelligence and has allowed for all of the great human achievements; so, feel no fault in asking. "Huge thing" works for me.

  • Hey half of the cast to "The Walking Dead"!

  • lol blatant transition at 2:23

  • I liked this movie, but then realized I was stoned

  • I prefer the real ending, but good job editing.

  • okay it might be funny but if that shit actually happens then lets see how funny its gonna be then ahahahahaha all you want

  • This ending would have been neat it would have left a little more to the imagination.

Did they make or just kept driving off into the unknown.

See not everything is so clear cut and tied up nicely in a bow.

  • Kickass editing job Kurandowned, and great finale.

Much better than the original IMO.

  • if Judgement day were like this... it would be fucking scary

  • @extrememonaXXX hell is like this :)

  • @ballwizard6 probably much worse

  • Well I guess Coon and Friends came just in time

  • @Callofdutyfan1 lol South Park ftw

  • it looks like a roach with giraffe legs and tentacles!

  • i remember my first time watching this movie. i watched it with my aunt and cousins and every one was quiet and so into the movie throughout the WHOLE thing and then when it got to this part and they showed this thing... well i don't even know what on earth to call it! and i remember just looking at everybody saying over and over: "WHAT IS THAT?!" "DO YALL SEE THAT THING?!" "OMG!" i just kept repeating myself because really WTF is that thing? it's freaky as hell!

  • i know this may sound weird but the giant creature is majestic in a way...

  • I thought both endings were beautiful. I love the book's ending more, though.

  • THIS is the exact thing I wanted to see! The film's ending is nothing like Stephen King wrote and it annoys me seeing 'alternative ending' to the film...when it's actually not even the one from the book.

  • @619alphadog You're one sick fuck, I'm concerned for the people who love you

  • @Puchigardiechan Sick fuck? It's a movie, he is aloud to enjoy it anyway he likes. It's called entertainment and everyone enjoys entertainment in different ways. Simple.

  • @Puchigardiechan I thought it was pretty funny too so did my friend

  • @Puchigardiechan im unhappy pls thats so horrible i cried

  • @Puchigardiechan if any.

  • @Puchigardiechan oh,hes the sick fuck, not the asshole that shoots his own son.And this ending I also found to be fun,it's ironic, and only shows the much of an asshole that guy was

  • @DanielAvelan If u were in a desperate situation where almost anyone is dead, you could have done the same or even think of doing it, You sir are extremely dumb to put yourself into the character's shoes, just shows the lack of empathy you have but oh well I guess you saw this movie expecting it to be another action sci-fi film rite ?

    Have a nice day.

  • @KxK96 oh yeah, expected an action movie where there's a mist that don't let people see shit!I was also dissapointed with panic room,I mean, why there can't a shooting scene on a tiny room?and yes,I don't have empathy for anyone who is that idiotic.

  • @Puchigardiechan If you're concerned for the people who love him, you're concerned for no one at all.

  • @619alphadog Do you mean "funny," or "ironic"? There's a difference - one that either makes you look either insane, or thoughtful, respectively.

  • @Ultranothing I've never seen anything ironic thats not funny

  • @DanielAvelan So irony can never be bittersweet, or tragic? What about Romeo discovering Juliet in a drugged sleep, believing her to be dead, and killing himself in grief?

Or when Oedipus becomes king by unknowingly murdering his father and marrying his mother? Was it funny that, by Oedipus' vow to punish the man who murdered the former king, he was actually vowing to punish himself?

Surely you can think of an ironic situation, even in your own life, that wasn't funny at all?

  • @Ultranothing man, stop being so over tramatic,it's just a movie, another Stephen King movie with a let down ending.

  • @DanielAvelan Well, that didn't answer my question, but okay.

    "Tramatic"?

  • @Ultranothing okay,I'll anwer your question then.Romeo and juliet were dumb bimbos that coudn't hold up until grow up,and oedipus father was stupid,if he didn't wanted his kid to kill him he should've killed him right away, not abandoning him

  • @DanielAvelan actually, i found the ending of the film kind of awesome and matching. it might have been a bit different than the books ending but it was brilliant in its own way.

  • @CynicMoses I dunno,I mean,if the movie was about the situation, then it was a really good ending, but when you focus on the main characther and makes you care about him,and finishes the movie making him look like a coward it's quite dumb

  • @619alphadog my friend and I both cracked up laughing at the end

  • @619alphadog Friend you have issues if i would be that guy i would throw my self in front of that tank

  • It's so sad...

  • that thing is my pet.....

    i call him caca-tall-oach

  • whats the one word?

    Hartford whats that?

  • @CthulhuGaming he's talking about Hartford, Connecticut. The idea is that they could make it there with the gas thats left. The theory throughout the story is that the lack of a radio signal could mean that the world has been totally destroyed by the mist, but the mist itself could also simply be cutting it out. he hears a single word on the radio at the motel, which leads him to believe that somewhere, a radio signal is still going, and therefore, the mist never got to it.
