Big guy is Steiner. He's Garnet's (the lady with the white robes) bodyguard. The little guy with glowing eyes is Vivi. He's a black mage, and one of the all-time favorite Final Fantasy characters.

No. Fastball did a cover of this song. It's originally done by Tal Bachman, who's even listed at the beginning of the video.
