  • I always enjoy your videos. Happy holidays.

  • I'm trying to remember the cheap hotel I stayed at in Incheon. Right near the airport, free shuttle and only 40,000 won a night. Really nice as well. I'll have to look it up.

One burner? Stir fries would be the best, although the wife just bought this BBQer that sits on your burner and works like an oven/grill. It's awesome and only cost about 70k.

  • I wound up staying at the airport... much nicer.. Mad some Micky D's and Soju for a late night snack!

  • Dude, do you live near dongtan? I worked there last. I'll be in Seocho soon... and hey, I think you should make a stir fry with rice!

  • I live in Dongtan Not far from Wa Bar.

  • Well damn... My wife and I think we walked by you before in Dongtan. We worked at ILS where Pizza Maru is... It's right near Megopolis. Small world... We'll be back in February. Maybe we'll meet!

  • Coolest countdown in a long while.

The energy shooting out of you lately has an extra kick to it, so I know this is big.

    :-D

One burner wouldn't phase me. I'd still go to Burger King.

  • Nah... Too much money. A nice noodle shop would do wonders.

  • I guess we never realize how good we have it with a four burner range until three of them are taken away... I know that you will make the best of it :)

  • Nice coffee cup! I'll start showing off some of my Japan collection of starbucks cups!

  • Very cool!

  • I should send you a Aussie starbucks mug ! Help your collection. Oh yea and the wallpaper came with the apartment hey ... YEAH RIGHT ... you picked it !

  • Ooooo an Aussie Mug... hrm....

As for the wallpaper... It was there, I swear. You know I'd pick something more fabu than that.

  • Curry, Japanese kind you buy in blocks. Make it how you like, chicken, potato, carrots etc. But also grate one small apple and add 3 table spoons of honey. Simmer as long as possible, about an hour on very low heat is best, but not manditory. Serve over rice (you do have a rice cooker right?). I love this one pot meal in the winter.

  • That's a great idea.

  • Smashed potatoes with herbs (cooked in the pot) with ham or bacon sauté in the pan. Easy to cook and to eat, especially for somebody tired. Warms you up. With a Riesling. Don't forget the candles.

  • LOL - Love it!

  • And wasabi Kitkat for dessert...

    ;~)

  • Excited for you! having Jo there will be nice. I would make some fajitas in the pan. Chicken and spices, with some veggies stirred in, roll it into a soft tortilla, yum!

  • That would be fun. I saw some great small tortillas at the market and some big ones at Costco.

  • Beef stew. Its cold there now, and you only need 1 pot! So how many days until you come up for air? I need to start a pool as to when Jo will let go of you, and you can post a new blog!. 1$ buys in, and I am taking Sunday Korea time.

  • Maybe... but then again... I have to send this into the store to have it repaired... and that will take a few days.

  • Hi there, I'm a new subscriber to your videos, I enjoy them and I would also like to know, do you speak Korean, if so how well? cheers mate, from Down Under. P.S, The Fat Aussie

Barstard got me onto you, speaks highly of you : )

  • Thanks for joining hte ride over here. I can read Korean and I'm currently studying my ass off trying to get through a lesson that has me all flustered... but I think I may have it down... finally.

  • LOL - Take out!

  • There's an idea.

  • LOL - You know that's one thing I really haven't found a lot of here!

  • Maybe a stew or a soup?

  • Perhaps.

  • 1 pot dish.......chicken curry!!!! lol!! have a fabulous time with ur better half!!!!

  • That sounds fantastic!

  • I'm going for fried rice - even if the rice gets cold while you're frying the rest of the stuff, it will warm when you toss it in. Shrimp, some veggies, an egg, a tiny pepper and some seasoning and you've got it. Lovely, celebratory and doable. on a single burner. If you don't have a wok, you might want to get one.

  • Yeah, Fried Rice kicks all ass.

  • How about cooking a Salmon with fried potatoes and corn on the cob.

A side dish of some fruit would complete the meal.

  • I'm not sure I can get salmon.. but other fish is quite easy to get!

  • You cans get frozen salmon quite easily in medium-sized supermarkets.

  • Some sweet and sour chicken with some rice and peas.

  • I might be able to do that.

  • Ohhh...hmmm I can cook anything with one pan and one pot. Meat or Veg? Stir fry is easy and doesn't need a lot of prep.

  • Yes... but I only have one small burner! I have an idea what I want to make. It should be awesome!

  • Once Jo gets there we don't expect to hear from you for a solid week. Is that clear?!?

  • LOL!

  • Eggs, Wurst, and Diced Potatoes, Deutsche traditions = happy stomachs.

  • mmmmmmmm

  • That's everyday in my house.

  • I have been a subscriber for a month now and you keep talking about Jo..

But you still haven't told us who "Jo" is?? Your daughter? GF? Wife? What?

  • I'm gunna go with girlfriend.

  • Wife-to-be.

  • Fiancee

  • You can try making Pho (vietnamese noodle soup).

  • I may opt to take her to a Pho restaurant!

  • Whatever you make, keep it light. You don't her going all lethargic on you, first thing ;-)

  • ;-)

  • Make some fried rice with left over white rice just add egg, vege, and shrimp or whatever type of meat or just vege. It's good!

  • Yeah, I do that all the time!

  • very happy for you. I would make something simple like a good old fried egg with bacon and toast cause its always the simple things that make the best moments.... lol how deep ;)

  • ;-)

  • Steak man! You can never go wrong with a good porterhouse. It's hearty, brings out the animal in all of us + it's dam tender.

I'm SO gonna get you some!

  • ;-) I plan on getting an indoor grill soon!

  • StirFry!

  • There's an idea!

  • SOUP!!!

  • lol

  • Stir-Fry ramen and veggies with spam, egg and chili sauce...ohhhh

  • mmmmmmmmmm

  • -.- i wanna go to seoul.. -.- :)

  • how about kimchi fried rice

  • Sounds good.

  • yay ! how exciting

  • I know!

  • make some top ramen lol :P thats about the only thing i am good at making.

  • I hope I can find some top ramen in Seoul but never seen them here.

Cook her some rice and other tradional side dishes in vegetarian style.

  • Top ramen is crap! The stuff we have here in Korea is tons better than Top Ramen. In fact, there are two types of Spicy 라면 that I really like mixed with rice, meat, cheese, and ionions..... all rolled into 김.

  • lol

  • i am so happy for you .. not much of a cook sorry :(

  • Grits,eggs and sausage.lol

  • mmmmmmm grits!

  • With a pan and a pot, you can work wonders. I don't know what the two of you like or dislike but, I would make some type of pot roast with the veggies, potatoes, etc. I'm a simple man. lol You do look quite happy with Jo's arrival soon to come.

  • I might have to do that. I'm hoping to add a toaster oven to the place soon. That would be wonderful to be able to do a little baking!
