I agree, and Jeter should of one the MVP in 2006. How does that man not have a reg season MVP? Without Jeter, the Yanks are not as good, even in 2009 he is so important, the captain! While it's too hard to say his best play, I would say the play that defines his career and what kind of player he is was the dive in the stands in 2004 against Boston. Class.
Um, no. This was game 1 of the ALDS. Divison series, the first round. Was at this game. Only bright spot for me in the 06 playoffs as a Yankee fan. Hopefully that sting will resonate with this team. But it didn't when the Dead Sox rose from the grave in 04, so I have feeling the Detroit spanking won't either. Here's to 07, GO YANKS!!!
ahaha. jo1030 thought he was being slick or something.just thought you should know. no offense or anything but it was the ALDS, the yanks only win in the playoffs, after this game they rolled over and diedbecasue of cancers such as gary sheffield , randy johnson, jaret wright and lee mazilli. thankfully they are gone now

Wow! Jeter has always amazed me. If you asked anyone in New York what play was Derek Jeter's
best play no one would answer. He has had to many great ones to decide which one is best.
Yankee fans [which i am] shouldn't take him for granted. You could ask his most famous play and i would say the catch in the stands.

Yeah, Morneau winning the MVP was a load of crap. He had a good year, but he clearly was not the most deserving.
