@xXItachiXx06 I have tried Windows Live Movie maker and that works just as fine as my normal pc.
the problem is, it has no dvd player or writer so you can't install adobe photoshop ... for example, you can install it via an usb dvd player for netbooks, but i don't have one.
anyway, my video editing program W live movie maker works just fine...
@BAAAASJE Again, that's another plus (connecting it to your internet phone via Bluetooth). I have never been a fan of Apple. I'm one of those folks who is big on quality Technology gadgets. So if I use one brand & it reliable, I just stick too it. OS for me its will always be Windows foremost, Camera: Kodak. Phones: Nokia, Blackberry & HTC. Electronics: Samsung. Some new companies might not be big as well know brands, but they make good products ie Archos. Sennheiser (headphones).

@BAAAASJE Thanks.Lord, there's seem to be more minuses than pluses with this Tablet. Nontheless, I will still buy it for my basic usage needs and it had an android market ability I'm told, so that's a plus in my book.
I just don't care about the minuses, it's just way better than the .... Ipad.
this device has proper features, usb slot, mouse pointer and nice speakers.
anyway.. I'll make some more video's about this device the next few months, i will show my desk setup with the archos 9 used as normal pc, and my brand new bose speakers and keyboard attached to my archos.

I'm looking out for the Archos 43 internet tablet coming out in oktobre.

Listen, if you check on Archos web site, you will find that they sell a wireless keypad board for the 9 Tablet. I'm thinking of getting that once I buy my 9 tablet. I see that you got a Bose sound product. I don't have any Bose product, but I gather that they are very good. A bit pricey though, I might add.

It will then take you to the tablet payment page and below the 9 tablet, there's other products below Archos recommend that you buy for the 9 tablet ie keypad, rechargeable batteries, tablet case etc. Its on their european site, I believe. Yeah, Bose is good.

@BAAAASJE No worries. I got a nice small keypad that I bought from maplin a few years back (still brand new and working) but it is not wireless. So I will be getting this Archos one as I like it. When I get my 9 tablet, I gonna get some nice accessories for it.

@proximxr Correction, since you don't know. Windows 7 is a repackage of Vista. "Speed of XP" must be fantastic given my computation specs. Build a proper rig to enjoy your experience. Grabbing the cheapest Wal-Mart induction of hardwareinto the fray of computation as many do is a joke.
@BAAAASJE The O.S. is deemed more secure and less FUCKING ANNOYING than Vista's core format. Trust me. If you like XP, you'll enjoy Win7 after you change security specifications and remove "User Account Control" shit. After switching to Win7 with decent hardware, you'll enjoy your experience, especially if you are a power user at all. I spent 1000 on my desktop rig not including my monitor and extra hard drives, and I've never had a problem with Win 7.

there is a like in the discription of that video, download the RAR file, extract it with winRAR and run the .exe file to start the sims.

Have you tried any video editing software's on it?
I just want to know how well it runs sony vegas, and adobe after effects.
I know it'll be slow, but whether it'll be in workable speed.

Btw, if you don't have someone's wpa or wep key for wifi you can't use internet.
I was on holyday in austria, and i didn't had an wpa key, so i couldn't use internet for a week.
you can connect it to your mobile phone via bluetooth, and if your mobile phone has 3G internet you can connect to it with the archos 9.
I don't have mobile internet so i couldn't do that in austria.

Well, i downloaded the sims on megaupload, it was an RAR file so i could extract it very easy.
and i runned the .exe file and the game worked, no instal needed.
I bought an slim keyboard for typing cheats etc, because the archos on-screen keyboard and the windows on-screen doesn't work while running a game.
it doesn't lag, i hope ill find some more working games for this device.

Well, it's not as good as an notebook or netbook, the onscreen keyboard isn't that really good and some other features could be way better.
If you want a pocket pc for multimedia and low graphics games this is an awesome device, but for business.. no way.
Windows 7 Starter is not very fast on this device, but as i said before it's good enough for multimedia.
if you want a small pc for business, buy an laptop.

Sending basic emails is no problem at all, wifi works great, watching youtube works fine if you use 320p, 480p lags and 720p - 1080p is just awefull.
Watching normal HD video's (wmv, mp4) doesn't lag with VLC media player, but windows media player isn't good.
Just normal web browsing is fun, i downloaded a ''drag and pull'' plug-in for Chrome and it's really cool.
skype has a problem with W7, i need a patch orso.. MSN works fine.
Paint is very nice while using the touch screen.

Apple maybe creates better design, but the productivity what archos has is just way better.
My archos 9 feels solid and sustainable, the ipad feels thin and not sustainable at all.

I haven't found an keyboard on the archos site, because i can only visit Archos europe i think.
btw, I've got 2 Bose headphones (on-ear and around ear) And i've got the Bose Companion 3 series II speakers.
Bose is kinna expansive, but it is The Best sound you can get.

I've got 3 pc's at home, 1 vista home premium 1 xp professional and 1 2000 professional.
Xp and 2000 are fast and easy to use, Vista is just awefull.
And to be honest i don't like 7 eighter, Windows 7 is just some sort of an update of Vista, it's the same as vista, with an better look.
Anyway, my A9 is now upgrading for about 30min, it's not really fast right now.
But i saw on the Archos Fansite that upgrading Windows improved the A9.
btw, i downloaded office 2007, and it's really good.

My Archos 9 has now Windows 7 Home Premium, it works way better than starter, it's faster and the touchscreen is more responsive.
And W7 looks way better.
