I just moved to Fresh Meadows . I am from Corona Queens. and i think the Homes are nice in fresh meadows but i hate living here. Its not to many things to do here.

i live closer to the burger king/popeyes on union turnpike, fresh meadows isn't so bad ,

grew up in this area in 70's 80's and most of 90's. It wasnt so bad growing up there. moved to austin TX late 1990's.

theres a lot of chain stores there now, not so much mom and pop small businesses like there used to be. so different there now. lost a lot of its small town charm.

I'm glad you took a recording of that abandoned shack on Union Turnpike where a Wendy's was going to be built. This structure has been vacant for years and nothing gets done. Across the street is another boarded up lot of vacant land on Union Turnpike. Thanks to that jackass who wouldn't allow a Wendy's to be built, we now have an eyesore that won't go away! This is the kind of crap you're dealing with who live in this neighborhood. Councilman Jim Gennaro has done anything to help either!

Here's a better way of putting Fresh Meadows/Jamaica Estates to words: DESOLATE, A WASTELAND, HELL, A DEAD END, SUICIDE, HOPELESSNESS, SADNESS, AN OLD AGE HOME, BOREDOM, A WASTE OF TIME, UNINSPIRING, LAME, DEPRESSING. If you ever lived in this area you would be amazed that you were living in a part of New York City. Seriously, this town needs more stimulation, better restaurants, better shopping, better entertainment, more culture, more youth, fewer drug stores, fewer real estate stores, etc.

Fresh Meadows is a joke! Anyone who would consider moving here is an IDIOT! This town is friendly like a cemetery and insane like a mental asylum! Why believe me? You should because I LIVE HERE! This town is BORING! There's nothing to do here. There's no real nightlife. There's no culture. Half the people here don't speak English or don't want a thing to do with you. A better name for this town is Fresh Ghettos which is truthfully its nickname. Come here and you'll be glad to leave here ASAP!
