It's obviously so perfectly animated but the breasts for the girl would not fit at all; they are too in the niddle, I mean they are there as if they have some meaning but at the end they are just to determine the gender. Clearly the animator has already determined the lady's gender by the heart-shaped face and brighter light on her, the breasts were very unnecessary, other than that silly part I liked the whole animation and the story!!!

@metgok haha, well I actually meant her maternal aspect in relation to the little protagonist. He clearly views her as more than just a sex object, which could translate into a motherly entity, especially given he isn't particularly masculine. If you look at this short, you can almost see it in the context of a mother and son, which can be interpreted as a far purer love than that of a man and woman. I don't mean to be all Freudian with it, but that's just one of my interpretations.

Once you start doing it it's kind of hard not to, especially when you're looking at something that was obviously very intentional despite seeming somewhat out of place.

What an amazing little piece. I was geeking out on Nick Cave info and came across this after finding out that it was inspired by "The Carney" of the Your Funeral My Trial album. I was sincerely moved by this film. In 10 min it accomplished more than what most feature films can in 90. Absolutely wonderful.
