I sincerely hope that this building may have influence on future architecture of a domestic nature too, it feels so cosy and warm to walk into....almost like you rediscovered a cradle of youth again!
Gaudi was a genius who, IMHO, designed the most beautiful building on earth which definitely proved that the work of man could indeed be immersed with nature and not being arrogantly set above it....may the Goddess and the God bless Gaudi's footsteps!

Aftabah.... This temple has Been build, with public donations following Antoni Gaudí' s will , besides is a very complicated construction, I guess 14 or 15 years from now will be finshed !

THemrrind, is incorrect. The effort needed to finish La Segrada Familia is the work of miracles. The completion of this building is expected to be finished 20-35 years from now. It is a shame Antoni Gaudi died from a terrible train accident.
@aftabahmedbaloch Because we had a war and so the plans were lost during a long time and the miniatures had been destroyed, but they got back some of his documents and the miniatures had been reconstructed, so it was posible to continue with Gaudí's dream some decades later. In fact the church and the school building were burnt with most of his projects inside.

Doncs per tenir un pais com deu mana, no es pot anar girant la cara i fent veure que no passa res i parlar d'unitat, quan s'ho han passat tot per la soca dels ous.
Espanya no esta unida ni ho estarà mai. Ni la inmigració, ni l'atur tenen res a veure amb Gaudí.

Having just ound out this year that I have Gaudi/Goudie in my family tree left me shocked, as I had no idea we were connected. Now looking at this amazing work of art, I can only hope that the blood ties are the very reason I have a passion for art and architecture.
Hopefully I will find my way back to Europe soon and visit this beautiful place, as it is utterly astonishing.
I have been there in 2007, If there is re-encarnation I hope I am able to visit Sagrada Familia Again in the next 100years, and more than that, I hope it will be ready!

I personally think that it is a colossal heap of junk to be brutally frank. Guadi's work is not for me atall and I think that the Sarada Familia church is the most ghasty edifice I have ever set eyes upon! I dread to think how much money (must be millions of euros/ dollars) have be thrown away on it. I love great religious architecture but this is a complete joke . World heritage my arse!!!!!!!
Well, as we already told, the temple will not be built to its entirity, because the Spanish Government has decided to pass the high velocity train (AVE) right below the Sagrada Familia. As you can read on the following article, the first hole in the graound has appeared, and, as we denounced then, the reaction of the responsible of construction of the train has been: "It's not our fault..."

You can get into the Sagrada Familia from a lot of years ago. You can also go up by the ladders to one of the towers.

@griseldaybarra1 Gaudí wanted this building as a symbol from Catalonia, Barcelona and Christianism so its the tallest. He designed many incredible buildings that he never built or he never finished as his favourite projects because of Güell's death, so it was his dream and his tool of experimentation to probe his designs and shapes.
In fact it had been stopped during long time because it disappeared many papers and miniatures had been destroyed during the war, but it had been reconstructed.

THemrrind, is incorrect. The effort needed to finish La Segrada Familia is the work of miracles. The completion of this building is expected to be finished 20-35 years from now. It is a shame Antoni Gaudi died from a terrible train accident.

@aftabahmedbaloch Because we had a war and so the plans were lost during a long time and the miniatures had been destroyed, but they got back some of his documents and the miniatures had been reconstructed, so it was posible to continue with Gaudí's dream some decades later. In fact the church and the school building were burnt with most of his projects inside.

Doncs per tenir un pais com deu mana, no es pot anar girant la cara i fent veure que no passa res i parlar d'unitat, quan s'ho han passat tot per la soca dels ous.
Espanya no esta unida ni ho estarà mai. Ni la inmigració, ni l'atur tenen res a veure amb Gaudí.

Having just ound out this year that I have Gaudi/Goudie in my family tree left me shocked, as I had no idea we were connected. Now looking at this amazing work of art, I can only hope that the blood ties are the very reason I have a passion for art and architecture.
Hopefully I will find my way back to Europe soon and visit this beautiful place, as it is utterly astonishing.

@GitanoMaltes En 2025 se terminará. El deseo de Gaudí era que no se gastara dinero que podía servir para escuelas, hostpirales... en construir semejante obra maestra. Así que la Sagrada Família SÓLO se construye a partir de donaciones y lo que sacan de las entradas.

I personally think that it is a colossal heap of junk to be brutally frank. Guadi's work is not for me atall and I think that the Sarada Familia church is the most ghasty edifice I have ever set eyes upon! Well, as we already told, the temple will not be built to its entirity, because the Spanish Government has decided to pass the high velocity train (AVE) right below the Sagrada Familia. As you can read on the following article, the first hole in the graound has appeared, and, as we denounced then, the reaction of the responsible of construction of the train has been: "It's not our fault..."
The Sagrada Familia will be destroyed as we've denounced, and the Spanish Government cares a shit.

Incredible! Im from near BCN and I hope that I will see it finished, but only is a dream, like all dreams from science and art, since Tesla to Gaudí. The mistery and respect is the spirit of science, art or religion and all thinks. This is what Gaudí would say to you about the house of god. All come from the sun, so light is "god" (but I don't feel christian). I think that everybody have to feel the mistery for feel the real life.

Light is owr god, all emotion is come from the sun from explosion.We are what we have all around (sofa is nothing without cushion on around center of gravity of objects). Im not christian, but I feel a lot of respect to the house of light, because it has the word respect n observation about world nature.Art n scence is almost religion and nobody knows what is god.If you think Gaudí is not good for his religion, it means that you never seen his entire works. It would mean your ignorance, but IDK
