I can't beleive this was what used to keep us all entertained in the 'good old days' but it was eagerly awaited 'family' viewing...and did we laugh..yes we did. There wasn't much else on TV then. A time of innocence sadly long gone - I miss those days.
@WhirligigTV Correct!! You know your stuff!! Now for the bonus round, On "Stars on Sunday", Jess Yates was seen to be playing the organ (a Lowrey Berkshire model) throughout the show but what was the well-kept musical secret that has still not been revealed about the self-ordained "Bishop"?
This series ran from 1955 to 1968. I, too, get the sense that this clip is later than 1955.
Like many others, this brings back my black and white TV memories of the sixties. There are other clips on Youtube of the ITC adventure series, such as The Saint, Dangerman, Man in a Suitcase, The Avengers, The Prisoner etc.
Cracking! Brings back so many memories of watching scratchy B&W TV in the early sixties..... now.... what the hell was the name of the bloke with the gong? I got a fiver coming if I get it... I'll give you half!
i was just lookin at this cos i keep heaing of Michael Miles because thats my name an everytime igo to hospital i get told take your pick an they'll ask me questions an [usually] to cheer me up they'll ask me questions and if i said yes or no they'd go bong! and i wondered wat it meant till now haha, lol at the woman at the end that was crap effort :P i think everyone should clock onto that..
love it..

Used to film this in Studio 1 at Wembley. Studio 1,2,3 & 4 have been demolished. At least Studio 5 at Wembley is still there.

No, It was Alec Dane.
Bob Danvers-Walker did the commentary.

You are quite right of course...somehow I had no recollection of the name Alec Dane, he must have one of those instantly forgettable names.

Alec Dane was also Michael Miles's manager/agent.
