The male voice was A M Raja who sang many songs for MGR like Mayakkum Maalai pozhuthe in Kulebagavali, Kanmoodum velayilum kalai enna kalaiye from Mahadevi. MGR was very selective in choosing the singers. The philosophical songs and songs with policical message were rendered by TMS and love duets like the above song were rendered by A M Raja.

This was the first Tamil film shot and processed in color. MGR was reported to have involved in most of the film production made by Modern Theatres. Hindi actor Wahida Rahman appeared for a song sequence in this film which was music scored by SM Subbiah Naidu, a very close associate of MGR.
