@bandhornfishingnerd1 Don't give up - practice your sleeper! make sure the yoyo is perfectly straight, the string dead centre and in line, keep at it, everyday, and you'll get there, I can only get my spinstar to sleep for about ten or so seconds, but I've seen better players do crazy things with it, remember that skill is the most important factor, not the yoyo.

@bazzatron666 hey i now have the darkmagic 2 and grind machine and they sleep for a long time easily. I can do the matrix trick easily and yoyoing at least 1 hour a day,depending on hmwk,. thanks for the encouragement!

@bandhornfishingnerd1 no worries man - I just started University, so my yoyoing has taken a bit of a decline, I'm only just getting to grips with atomic bomb/barrel rolls (I just can't get the dismount to look as swish as I want to, and it always veers to the right because I can't throw straight >_<)

but on the other hand - I use my KonKave bearing now, and I spent about a week getting used to binds etc lol, easy now ^_^

when you buy the dark magic 2 it comes with 2 bearings. the stock one already in the yoyo is a responsive one and its skinny so when doing string tricks it slows the yoyo down super fast. but when using the unresponsive bearing, the fatter one it spins for way longer and when doing string tricks its so much easier. so how come when he does string tricks it doesn't slow down and it comes back up to him when he tugs the string. is there a special bearing you can buy for this. please help

And I don t know if those are decent at all, because seeing how I just started I can only do sleepers, forward passes, around the worlds, eiffel towers, Jamaican flags, and rock the craddles, and just learning man on the Trapeze. dude what you need is a duncan dragonfly. it's a custom shape yoyo (a yoyo that is imperial but has a butterfly gap so its a mixture of both) and it has a loose ball bearing so it sleeps with no effort

u take the yoyo and when its in ur hand u spin it while tugging with ur throw hand

it causes the yoyo to start to spin and it shoots back to your hand

He then brings them across the yo-yo and towards each other while popping upward. This action forces the strings into recessed friction pads causing the yo-yo to grip and wind back up.
