Helen Keller IS you (the observer...not the character)...or rather, you are her (in a different body, story, and lifetime). Moments when you're not sure of anything are generally moments when you're unwilling to be sure. And if you concentrate really really hard you will be able to see the closest thing there is to "nothing"...you will be able to see your "self".
It's very hard to explain how you concentrate on not concentrating...but essentially you cannot find your "self" while looking for it. It's like looking for your sunglasses, running around and not finding them...then you finally stop and realize that they've been on your head the whole time.
