  • 19 people thought this song was so badass they flipped their monitors upside down to give it thumbs up again.

  • It's just beautiful and funky man. Nothing more.

  • Nothing today can even come close; it's all generic, computerized crap.

  • The 19 people that disliked this cannot comprehend this type of music, it's on a higher level.

  • i know dis song from anywhere but i cant figure out where i heard it first...maybe a show or commercial i dont know please someone help me i gotta remember

  • Fromâgúé

  • muito bom, antigamente tínhamos som...

  • LOVE IT!

  • it`s soooooo great

    music for my soul.........

  • Not bad. For the people talking about old vs new. There is good and bad new and old stuff. Some people tend to like to diss the present comparing to their past.

Maybe it is an human attribute that try to say the things were better in their time. Maybe it is psychological and more emotions were associated with it or the brain was conditioned with it so it tends to like it more. Whatever. They had beethoveen, you had the beatles, we had eminem, the kids now have lady gaga. :D

  • @mickoz or.........people have their own likes of music?

  • @TheYogurtMan62 Yes, people having their own likes might explain why people do potentially erroneous comments qualifying old vs. new stuff by trying to express their own preferences (e.g. music was better in the 80's). I can interpret it that way. Still I think it is often an easy and erroneous comment, and not only about music.

In some measurable topic like "there is more young mothers now than before because of the hyper-sexualization" there is a truth and I don't know which one it is.

  • too cool!

  • AWESOME so addicted ! x)

  • @capimex the voice at the beginning is actually a real person, he was a midget, who was the mc at the new york club where blue note recorded live albums, possibly the five spot. the mc had a very nasty disposition, so he was referred to as 'half a motherfucker', by the musicions.

    I can't believe it's been 18 years! Wow, I feel old now...

  • @sgtpepper2345 Jajajaja!! me tooo!!! but you know, I still dance when I listen it! I have the original at home... It's a gem!

  • Those years we had this gem, Guru (Loungin), De La Soul and many others experimenting, and I thought - rap/hip-hop is the healthiest form of contemporary music, cause it constantly changed, evolved.

But then - it just... stopped.

So I try to keep myself constantly reminded how it could have been, listening to this.

  • When this song came out, i was thrilled (and still am)! Jazz Rap? Hip Jazz? Rap Hop? Hip Rap? However the combination of this sound's called: I LIKE IT !

  • Much more harmless than so much stuff from today. Almost 20 years later this music keeps the right gears of life's clockwork ticking right

  • Like this vid much more than Vevos. Herbie forever!

  • this is real music. I am so sick of today's shit

  • @papayalism when this stuff was the shit of the day, people were sayin the same thing about even older stuff.

Gotta agree though, this is still just as good as when it came out. Good times, young days, fun days, hot nights, street fights, worked cars, pumped bars, summer days, summer haze.

  • @jeebersjumpincryst yeah, right

  • @papayalism yeah. fuck me, i cant even remember making this comment or even coming here. i must have been pretty damn high. i stand by the first part of the comment tho. wish i could remove the second part, but. Nevermind. Still got original CD in basement, from when it first came out. Crap, I'm getting old. :( In 20 yrs time, the 30 something crowd will be reminiscing over gaga, b**b*r, etc, saying "this is real music, I'm so sick of todays shit"

it's just life. but we are SO different... not

  • @jeebersjumpincryst Maybe there's good music of today too then, eh? I wonder where I could find that.

  • @papayalism you are wise, my friend....50 shit, bieber, perry, maslutta, jonas, lady caca, etc. could never produce this kind of masterpiece.....

  • @ztztzyzy thanks for the comment

  • @papayalism

You just turned 40 that's all...

  • @papayalism whenever today's music annoys you.

Dont ever forget you can comeback to the classic good shit.

  • @papayalism

There is pleeeenty of good music released after 2000, brother. If you want an example, check the album Effloresce by the band Oceansize (2001).

  • We need more rap with real band playing the real music. If the rapper aslo played guitar or piano or even trumpet sax whatever I'd give them my props

  • originally by herbie handcock !!

  • @LILRUDEFUCKER Yeah : Herbie Hancock - Jazz Fusion Cantelope Island

    I tottaly aggree with you. Respect the original one. But like the new one too ;D;

  • We need more of this!!!!!

  • es mitico la base la tengo con "band in a box" :-)

  • My brother and I used to argue over what the title of this song was. I'd say "Pass" or "What's That?," and he'd always say "Flip Fantasia." We were both wrong and didn't know it lol.

  • Comment removed

  • hey , wait a minute is the same gay who rap in groove is in the heart

  • In 1994, Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia) peaked at #9 on the Hot 100, and was ranked #41 on the Year-End Hot 100 Singles of 1994.
