The killing itself was almost certainly a fabricated story. Killing women (and children and the elderly) is a violation of the Quran (unless she is guilty of murder herself).

Well argued and I am happy to hear these argument come from a muslim woman. I doubt she is the answer to all ills but i think she is enlightened. Of course all she has to do is go a little farther and let go of antiquity as well and leave the old stories behind. I would be very interested to see how the Arab world would develop without Islam.......or in the governance of a way more modern and secular brand like Turkey. Sadly never happen tho :(

As an ex-muslim who was doing a lot of research about religion, I know what it is like to be lied to from both sides. IMO, it seems this woman has a personal vendetta against suppression in pseudo-Islamic culture (note the "pseudo"), and is using sensationalist lies to get the uneducated to share in her hate. It would be better to preach to the "socially suppressed" Muslims about the true Islam which, even as an apostate, I know is beautiful, compassionate, and encourages forgiveness.

Sure religion psychologically enslaves people, but historically, Islam produced tangible human rights. Example: Slavery was eliminated centuries ago in Muslim countries due to the belief in one human brotherhood, while it was a generation ago that "black man's paradise was under white man's foot" in the "champion of human rights," the USA.

I am a recent apostate of Islam, but this woman is not telling the truth. She mentions that Muhammad killed Asmaa bint Marwan, even specifying that her limbs were ripped off. The killing itself was almost certainly a fabricated story. Killing women (and children and the elderly) is a violation of the Quran (unless she is guilty of murder herself).
