  • never tell me the odds ←ここんとこが!!

  • 0:28 what a movement!!!!

  • Droid pilot Rex: Oh no! We're caught in a tractor beam!

Rebel X-Wing pilot: Star Tours, what are you doing here? This is a combat zone. It's restricted. Ease off on your main thrusters.

  • @MadiStarlight hahaha nice!

  • Best track of the entire 6 movies. Classic adventure music, leading into total epicness.. Then squeezing in a bit of romance at the end (A tad of "rebel fleet" popping its head in). This track manages to paint the whole Star Wars experience in one short musical score!

  • Seriously so amazing.

  • John Williams is one of the best composers!!

  • this is my favourite star wars music especialy 2:18 3:06 cant stop listening to it!!!

  • @warriorzac100 mine too man, shit is way too awesome

  • i love 2:18

  • 1:12 is my favorite part.

  • This song goes from dark side > intense asteroid field > love story ending.

Wow just like my last date.

  • oh boy... I need to watch Starwars again... O_O

  • 2 people ran into an asteriod

  • 2:18 "Chewie Lookout!!"

  • @Colossus3999

    Plot armor FTW!

  • Whenever i listen to 2:18 it reminds me of star tours 2. Yes, ive been on it its super amazing.

  • "Sir the odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field are 2 to 1!!"

"Never tell me the o-- Oh, well that's not so bad. Yeah, let's-let's keep going."

  • 0:00 to 0:38 always reminds me of Captain Rex closing in on the Death Star. The Droid, not the Clone.

  • take in base of action!

  • @Devlegowii Do you mean "Take evasive action!"?

  • @TheAw360me yah sorry

  • "I dunno how we're gonna get out of this one"

  • i love this theme!!!!!!

  • Playing this while driving makes it very hard to resist putting your foot down on the pedal! :)

  • Han Solo: “You said you wanted to be around when I made a mistake. Well, this could be it, sweetheart.”

Princess Leia: “I take it back.”

  • @lionskrike3 I remember such btu they had an entire fleet plus a super destroyer out there chasing them, loses would've been catastrophic but still acceptable considering the targets.

  • They'd be crazy to follow us, wouldn't they?

  • I Hear this when I get my first FINAL of the semester!

    I also think "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

  • "Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one!!"

    "Never tell me the odds!"

  • YOUR GONNA ATTACK THEM?!?

  • I am your father!

  • This makes my skin crawl, amazing.

  • Who else heard that TIE fighter spinning out in their heads at 2:30?

  • @Jergn23 Right here.

  • @Jergn23 Yeah I know what you mean, I always hear the first TIE fighter getting pulverised by the asteroid at 2:24.

  • This music always takes me back to my childhood of pretending to pilot a starship through some crazy scenario (asteroid field, hundreds of enemy ships, being chased by a big cruiser).

    Good times.

  • "I want that ship, not excuses"

  • 0:20 It gives me the chills.

  • 2:18 to 2:42 is even better than the original Star Wars theme. It is so gorgeous!

  • 0:00 to 0:38.

    Star Tours!

  • rarrgh roorrr arrgh!

i saw em i saw em!

    saw what?!

star destroyers, two of em comin right at us.

  • 2:18 FTW BEST PART OF THIS AWESOME THEME!

  • @andross51 totally man, i was looking for this movement for so long. i was so happy when i heard it.

  • @andross51 That part is my child hood over and over again love it!!!

  • Best music in any of the Star Wars films and one of my all-time favourite chase scenes. Especially for a film from 1980, this still looks and listens damn impressive even by todays standards.

  • I listened to this while driving in the Appalachian Mountains. Maybe I shouldn't have because I got an adrenaline rush and nearly went off the road.

  • hahahaha me too! i love to play this one while driving and passing other cars

  • 2:18 - Goosebumps!

  • @ChrisStuckmann Yup me too!

  • @ChrisStuckmann same here!

  • "What are you doing? You're not actually going into an asteroid field?"

"Well, it's either that or goin' into the strawberry fields."

"Agh, look at that one! Ah, look at that one over there! AAUUGH!!"

"We're gonna get pulverized out here!"

"Look, we got 4 of 5 main characters in this ship. I think we're gonna be fine."

  • i can't stop coming back to this video and listening to it every once and a while. I just love life even more because John Williams did stuff like this.

  • 2 people are star trek fans.

  • @terror324 I'm a Trekkie but i love Star Wars too.

  • @EduardoTVideos what did sulu find in captain kirk's lavatory?

  • @marvelmax03191 A Redshirt.

    ?

  • @EduardoTVideos So am I dude, im a huge Trekkie, but I like star wars as well.

  • @terror324 hey, i'm both! :P

  • im no star wars fan nor nerd but the symphony of star wars is what brings star wars to the oscars

  • 2 believed in the odds.

  • @ryuencrash well han solo beat the odds, so ...

  • just perfect :)

  • We got 4 of the 5 main characters on this ship I think we'll be fine!

  • @Colossus3999

Damn it you forgot R2 ;)

  • @Colossus3999 4/6 actually, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca, Han, C3PO, R2-D2. That all of them.

  • @luigimarioman1 Well, R2 is not on the ship, he's on his way to Dagobah with Luke.

  • @Colossus3999 4 out of 7. Missing Luke, Lando, and R2-D2

  • @Colossus3999 4 of the 6 main characters, you forgot R2 you trekkie.

  • @thesyfychannel15 R2 WAS NEVER ON BOARD THE SHIP! HE WAS WITH LUKE ON DAGOBAH!!!

  • @DarthMurder503 That's what I said. He/She said "4 of 5 characters", I meant that R2 is also a main character NOT that he's with the rest of the characters on the Millenium Falcon.

  • @Colossus3999 HAHAHAHA FAMILY GUY

  • "Never tell me the odds!"

  • Oh, and for the record, 1:52 to 2:00 is my favorite part because it gets us ready for the awesome part without blowing the surprise. And then it reprises at the end, and then ends in that WONDERFUL rendition of the love theme...!

Man, this is possibly John Williams' finest piece, note for note.

  • @rurounikjs

good comment and so true. Reminds me of the good old 90's when I played shawdows of the empire and reading the book in 07. My favorite part is when luke is in the sewers and thats where he becomes a Jedi and he beat xizors robot in a fist fight. That part of the story showed that Luke doesn't need Dash's help any more, Dash needs Luke's help.

  • 2:57

    "Hey Ace! Enemy in range!"

If you've ever played "X-Wing: Alliance", your subconscious just got ready to fuck up some TIEs!

  • @Candystripedshredder Haha! That game was such a good time! :)

  • "I hope you know what you're doing."

    "Yeah, me too."

  • YES!!!!

  • 2 people crashed into an asteroid while voting.

  • The best part is at 2:22, why couldnt the whole song be just like that

  • @mrjason182 yeh thats my favourite part too :(

  • @mrjason182 ...if the whole song was like that part, then it'd get monotonous and tiresome and wouldn't fit the onscreen action right.

2:17-2:42 is awesome BECAUSE it's a high point in the piece, written specifically for the piloting contest that Han Solo wins and the TIE pilots...don't.

  • Two TIE Fighter Pilots Disliked This Video (-0-)

  • I think playing this during a high-speed chase on a highway would be fitting.

I can just imagine weaving in and out of cars, mainly at 2:17 - 2:42

  • WHEN I HEARD THIS SONG I FELL THE DARK SIDE

  • why not just have all the cannon batteries on the Star Detroyers open up and move through on last known trajectory path and annihilate all asteroids ? meh, then again why didnt they save us an entire series and just blast the escape pod when it launched life signs or no.

  • @AmazingVerex What you don't realize about the escape pod, though, is that while they would have been aiming at and shooting towards that escape pod, another escape pod might have launched out and they completely miss it.

  • This scene was the first time i ever experienced vertigo during a movie. I was upfront row and when the Millenium Falcon rolled under that asteroid and the the asteroid rolled the other way my stomach rolled off in it's own direction....WOW...that was super cool when your 11 years old. I never wanted to go to school again. I had to decompress as i came back to reality :(

  • 2:20 - 2:40 best momment!

  • @crocettiv thats when they blow up boom!!!!

  • OH MY GOD JOHN WILLIAMS

  • Anyone else notice a low brass instrument coming in with a wrong note at 0:33-0:34? It sounds terrible, but at least its loud and proud!

  • @eugeneragistanac it's purposeful dissonance, i think

  • @eugeneragistanac its not wrong...

  • @eugeneragistanac No it's the right notes. The clash between C and B is intentional. Part of the harmony of Darth Vader's theme.

  • @eugeneragistanac its called dissonance, it adds to the feel of the darkside there. lots of composers use that, it sounds like crap when writing it especially, but comes together amazing if you know how to use it.

  • who voted this DOWN? What's up with that?

  • @chillyche he got hit by an asteroid, so he accidentally clicked the dislike button

  • 1:19 to 1:29 (specially 1:26) killing me...just killing me...

  • A lot of these songs I recognize from Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

  • ''alright look we got 4 out of 5 of the main characters on this ship I think we're going to be fine''

  • 2:14 to 3:20 is the absolute best bit (:)-]-=

ptewptew chachachachachacha BOOM BOOM pow chachachachacha ptewptew

  • @SPHajibaN1NJ4SP my gavorite moment!!!!

  • god bless

  • C-3PO (Quagmire): AHHH! LOOK AT THAT ONE! LOOK AT THAT ONE!

  • 3:07

  • "Watch this!"

    *hyper-drive failure*

    "Watch what?!"

  • This is the theme music leading up to and during black friday at wal-mart.

  • I so love 2:18-2:31

  • 2:19

Has to be one of the most awe inspiring things I have ever heard.

  • episode V is really the best.

  • "This is no cave."

  • i fuking love it at ... 2:18... fuking awesome shit.. its like ur outer space dodging some asteroids!! :D

  • 2:59 !! love it!

  • @Ricardo7471

Abso-fucking-lutely. This was in my head ALL day today.

  • we are gonna hunt down this one dislike and beat him into loving this song

  • this scene and its music are such a great point in the saga.

  • o ,beautiful song is amazing

  • 2:17 FTW!!!

  • I looked for this video because of Carlos Spicy Weiner who reminded me how awesome John Williams is.

  • Wait a second... *BLAM* hold just a minute... *BLAM* Something doesn't add up here... *BLAM* Time out... *BLAM* OK I GET IT LETS GO!

  • " you dont have to do this to impress me"

  • Tie Fighter pilot: "I should have called in sick today..."

  • brilliant

  • closer?!!

  • Does the brass section of the London Philharmonic Orchestra rock or do they ROCK !!!

  • @26cab40 i don't think you really gave a true option there.... but yeah, they rock :)

  • @26cab40 Actually, this is the London Symphony, not the London Philharmonic.

  • Without a doubt, this is the best score in the entire Star Wars saga.

  • o melhor maéstro sem dúvidas

    awesome john

  • "Sir, the odds of successfully navigating through an asteroid field are 2 to 1!"

"Never tell me the... Oh. Actually, that's not bad. Let's keep going."

  • "Bones, this man needs medical attention!"

"Damnit, Jim, I'm a doctor not a doc...oh yeah, I'll get right on it."

    Oh wait, wrong franchise.

  • @YoshiAngemon. Very funny :)

    Thank you.

  • @YoshiAngemon its actually 3,720 to 1 just so you know :)

  • @GimmeYOAccount I was just quoting Family Guy's "Something Something Something Dark Side." It's just that there are pepole who like Star Wars, people who like Family Guy, and people who like both.

  • @YoshiAngemon lol funny

  • @YoshiAngemon

    Best. Comment. Ever.

  • @YoshiAngemon family guy

  • @YoshiAngemon 33.3

  • yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss

  • They played this for the Star Wars concert... it was epic awesome!

  • SO did I man for Marching Band Halftime shows. MHS!

  • Whenever i'm playing video games and i fly any kind of ship (or fly anyway), I start singing 2:16 really loud into the mic!

  • 2:16 is the best.

  • awh man i love this song!

  • the odds of making thorugh the asteroid field alive is 1:100000 p.s epicness begins at : 2:18

  • I am going to star wars in concert in toronto in a couple weeks. Could someone tell me what i could do to "prepare" and a pro-con analysis thing of how good it was. really appreciate it

  • there's not really much you can do to "prepare" just grab your favorite star wars shirt and a camera to get some pictures with the original movie props and costumed fans. as far as cons go I saw it in a arena that seats 10,000 and it was hard to see, so a large arena will be very hard. just try to find seats dead center for sound purposes. The huge screen that's mentioned is actually kinda distracting but when all's said and done it's a fun night of good natured geekery so have enjoy!

  • 3:27 han and the princess!!! right when they're flying into the "cave." i love it!!! first time i saw this, i think that bit of the soundtrack was what really confirmed it for me that this was one of the best movies EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER

  • @spyergirl4 haha me too! During the whole time until 3:23, I was too immersed in the scene to realise it but then when they get rid of all the fighters and the music changes I actually knew at that moment that I was witnessing a masterpiece and realised how perfect this piece suited the scene...

  • never tell me the odds!

  • love the epic stuff this is so awesome!!!!

  • I just saw Star Wars in Concert on friday, suckers! This song was amaaaazing in it

  • Asteroids do not consern me, Admiral. I want that ship!

  • whilst astroids crashing into the destroyer haha, and shooting at larger ones

  • I just got back from Star Wars: in Concert in Anaheim, and they played this song. Absolutely amazing. It's even more beautiful in person.

  • You lucky ass I love this song. :D

  • lolz, I'm going to see that soon.

  • Fantastic

  • It's the Super Empire Strikes Back Title Screen Music! And at 1:14, I can imagine Peter Griffin as Han Solo humming this! as he pilots the Falcon!

  • 2:19 and 3:07 are definitely my favorite parts

  • This is the one piece of music that I think sets Star Wars apart. When I hear this, I can ONLY think of ONE thing - an asteroid field. It's amazing! So many different things that sound so right and were never done before - I love John Williams!

  • This music is simply bloody brilliant!!! The build-up of the music from 2:58 almost makes my hair stand up on end.

Can just visualise them weaving in and out of the asteroids in the falcon!

  • I really don't see how that is going to help. Surrender is a perfectly acceptable alternative in extreme circumstances. The Empire may be gracious enough...
