  • @liranegra Golden Earring are a Dutch rock band, founded in 1961 in The Hague as the Golden Earrings (the 's' was dropped in 1969). They had international chart success with the songs "Radar Love" in 1973, "Twilight Zone" in 1982, and "When the Lady Smiles". With over 40 hits it´s Hollands most succesfull rockband!,.

  • You never hear the one that gets you.

  • This song rocks!! My band recently started covering this song & we are getting a great response to it. We will be playing it tonight at penny road pub.

  • @fluffydanny At the pub...

  • @erkr4th Jolly good place to be,mate!

  • It's 2 AM

  • This is definately called "Twilight Zone"! Have seen them play live many many times! Best Dutch band ever!!!

There are several excellent live version of the song available on albums. I prefer the "2nd live" version.

  • I hate to break it to ya CopyrightThis...............but the song is called "Twilight Zone". Forget searching Google....look at the album...

  • Copyright This: of course if you had done you're research you'd know that the song was released in the U.S. and went to #1 here as "Twilight Zone".

Thanks to erkr4th for posting this. Never seen this footage. One of my favorite songs from that period. Brilliant really. Just recently discovered that this was inspired by the "Bourne Identity" the book by Ludlum - not the recent movies.

  • I believe it was probably changed to twilight zone

because of anti gun sentiment in certain markets

  • Hurts like shit

  • i never heard this live before..i saw the original video when mtv actually played music videos...fuck i miss the 80's anyway this live version was way better.most live versions of a song suck..this was great

  • this is the honest to gods truth, the song was inspired by the HIT BOOK by Robert Ludlum called The Bourne Identity, yes later turned into the hit movie.

  • Dis duh shit.

  • Copyright

It IS called Twilight Zone...YOU need to do research...it is from the Golden Earring Album titled "Cut"....know your stuff before criticizing. Great tune written by George Kooymans.

  • It's two AM

  • When the bullet hits the bone!

  • This version sucks and does not show the genious of the band.

  • I'm slipping into the twilight zone.

  • Check out the B C Rich used in the lead solos, you can see it better in the 2nd solo near the end. It's called the Perfect 10, and has 10 strings. You'll notice four tuning machines in the notch at the tail end. They are connected to strings running adjacent to the lower (in pitch) 4 strings and double an octave up in 12-string fashion.

There arei switches for coil tap and phase reverse in addition to all of the conventional controls. It has a 3-ply neck stock that runs all the way through.

  • When the bullet hits the bone? Oh!

  • lmao i have the cd its twilight zone jackass!

  • I'm here my friend Gab and both are agree that this band is one of the best bands ever, if we are lucky to see them, will be like a dream come true awfully they still playing, lucky all you who enjoying them in the 70's and 80's

  • FUCKIN GREAT!!!!!!!These guys were way underrated!

  • the guns still warm

  • Excellent. One of the most under rated bands. They kick ass.

  • @DBD34GS

Not sure about under rated, they only had 2 good songs, Radar Love and Twilight Zone

  • @klegster

hm, i do not really agree. have you ever listened to their "vanilla queen"? amazing song! it's really worth to proof me.

  • god bless them all

  • !!!! T e r r i f i c !!!!!!!

  • Best Dutch band ever!

  • 5 stars!!!

  • @BigMolnAZ actually they formed in 1961

  • OK, but not as gritty and intense as the original. Let's say 3 out of 5 stars??

  • Nice solo one of the classic of all time

  • This song and the video OOZE testosterone! Love it :-)

  • What's even more amazing is that these guys have been together since the 70's! Even longer than the Stones! I got to see them for the first time in Holland back in 1978! Wish I could go back there and see them again, and yes they are the most famous Dutch Band to make it big!

    TOT ZIENS!!

  • this is one ass kicking band

  • this is a dutch band

  • anyone who likes golden earring, I just uploaded the entire Continuing Story of Radar Love album onto my page, check it out.

  • that's too cool! Thanks man! I've linked them to my facebook!

  • ????????????????????????????/

  • Do they get youtube in Iran?

  • did you ever notice that when you want to find a favorite video, that you have played many times, they bury it in a ton of shit, and force you to find it?

  • George Kooymans was veeeeeery handsome then !!!! His solo was awesome. I love this !!!

  • Do a little research... google is a good place to start. Or read some of the older posts.

  • Np m8 you're right it called twilight zone no doubt

  • @erkr4th

Well both of you are right, as you can see in this very vid they introduced the song as "When the bullet hits the bone" They must have changed it later to Twilight Zone, but calling it When the bullet hits the bone isn't really wrong.

  • I hope you don't really believe yourself when you claim this...

  • @CopyrightThis1 Clearly it was called Bullet Hits The Bone early on and they changed the name. It's not that hard to figure out man, cmon.

  • @CopyrightThis1 song is twilight zone

  • @CopyrightThis1 durrrp! u really must be an idiot.

  • @CopyrightThis1

Afraid not...look at Wikipedia and the song is listed as "Twilight Zone".

Look at ITunes and all listings for the song show it as "Twilight Zone'"

Google it and guess what..."Twilight Zone'

  • @CopyrightThis1 when did this name get changed. I have never seen it called when the bullet hits the bone.

  • you're an idiot

  • @CopyrightThis1 : Sorry, but the title is "The Twilight Zone."

  • one of the most beautifull bassguitars i have ever seen, the father of Rinus (the bassplayer) built this guitar, one fine job, he also has another one, a red one also build by his father in 1961 !!! untill today he play's on it, thi guitar even has a name but it slips my mind for the moment !

GREAT SONG - 5 stars at least !

  • It is based on the 1958 Danelectro Longhorn bass, which believe it or not is still in production.

Danelectro's kinda disappeared for awhile in the 1970's. In the mid 80's Hondo came out with a excellent copy of the longhorn (which truly was a longhorn in that it had 31 frets) and are very collectible.

  • they were wayyyy better when they were in the 60s 70s

should of stayed hippie instead of contributing to 80s pop

    good song though

  • This song makes me think about all the wars that could be prevented if the CIA was "taking care of Business."

  • They were awesome live, saw these guys in Boston.

  • man, i have always loved this song...and pretty 80's boys, sigh

  • This is Golden Earring you nitwit

  • bad ass song got it on one of my cds

  • one of the oldest running rock bands now formed in 1961

  • fuck you

  • behoorlijk wa galm op de micro's maar sounds beautiful for a ,,new,, song

  • awesome solo

  • I swear I saw a CD with a 20 minute (or so) version of this song

  • This song and band rocks!!!!!

  • can not believe the start of the video "This is a new song....." super!!!!

  • The song is called The Twilight Zone, released in 1982. Written by George Kooymans. This is what Wiki says about the song: The song is often misnamed "Bullet Hits the Bone", due to the line's prominence in the chorus.

  • Correction: I meant 70ies not 80ies.

  • Now that is what I call Rock Music. Not just pumping out some other not needed power chords. Saw them in the 80 ies, with other 50 people. Same happened with the Scorpions. Later on the both made it big. Golden Earring were once fired from the Who as supporting act simply based on the fact that they were too good.

  • This is REAL music, unlike what most new bands think they are playing with grunt noises and non-audible lyrics.

    I love this video!

  • You know those guitars that are, like, double guitars?

  • Otto, right?

  • Actually look on an album cover its called twilight zone and listen to the chorus.

  • listen to other videos of the same sing and they sing twilight zone

    they just changed the text

and more people know it as twilight zone ...;)

  • Ze waren echt geweldig op Appelpop!

De bassist had ook precies dezelfde bas, echt een ubervette dubbelnek..

  • Intense, exotic, hypnotic, this masterpiece sends you off into a distant dimension where time stands still.

    This is Great.
