  • if you look closely, just, behind him there`s a goomba , dobby , and darth vader helmet

  • It's not a Dobby, it's Smeagol.

  • are you telling us how to make a lightsaber hilt or selling us plumbing pipes?

  • are you talking about ace and lows or a lightsaber hilt?

  • i promise i'm not a hater but home depot is the best

  • what's the website that he mentioned at 5:42 ? i couldn't understand. someone please write back!!! =D

  • randomsabers . com

  • i don't know why but he kind of looks like a young tom hanks to me.

  • Meh...I don't see it.

  • but A: he's cooler than you, and B: he has an awesome voice.

  • for the blade I used old golf clubs, I just cut the end of them off so all that was left was the handle and the shaft. EXTREMELY durable, so far haven't even bent them and its been 2 years since I made them. Im not saying go spend 100 dollars on new clubs, but if you have old ones laying around that no one uses, it's a really good alternative to the other stuff i've seen used.

  • i found something at home depot that looks like a lightsaber without any other attachtments to it

  • cool but how can you keep the pvc pipe inside the hilt

    please answer

  • what you do is drill a hole in the hilt and paint a screw red and screw it in there for a good hold, plus the screw looks like a button now that its red.

  • cool vid man

  • if you are making a long movie and dont have enough money to make a whole bunch of these then just get a 3/4 of an inch by 10 foot pvc pipe at lowes for 1.18 and make 12 of them

  • the dark grey rod will be in the galvinized pipe section

  • the prop is about 30 centimeters(12inch) right? but how long is the stick that you put in it?(please tell in centimeters, meters,or inches)

    thanks

  • It is about a meter long (1.2192 exactly), or four feet.

  • thanks!

  • that was a great description we got some props but I think this will work better

  • can u like list all the oricings for me i really want to build but i want to plan on how much

  • srry much

  • thanks man but if that was american dollar could u please tell me how mush it is in australian dollar casue i live in sydney in australia

  • how much did all that cost?

  • About $15. All summed up in Part 3.

  • He looks like Jim from the Office!

  • how aobut using a slightly narrower piece of pipe for the laser blade that's made out of the same material as the black pipe?

  • Hmmm. The black pipe isn't as thick and strong as regular PVC, and/or probably not as sturdy or practical as a dowel. That, and I don't think they make those black pieces too long, but I could be mistaken.

  • Thanks for this bro , a big help. Good explanation on everything , nice one

  • yo, i live in canada, where would lowes be and where would i find out thnx!!

  • can you send me the list of all the names of the things i need to get being as i live in the UK please?

  • Lol. For my blade I just used tent polrs, ski poles andbroom, sticks.

  • Sweet video, but is there a piece that makes the top of the lightsaber at a 45 degree angle, or can you only cut part of the PVC pipe off?

  • I don't think they make pieces like that, they're all straight tops. You'd have to cut it yourself. If you have power tools available to you, a table saw or band saw are great. If not, you might just be able to use a regular saw to cut it.

  • Thanks.

  • hahahaha lol ...... u said ....nipple hahaha

  • AND.................?

  • i think you did pretty good but istead of the wood use PVC pipe and get a bright colored elctrical tape and cover the whole blade it take harder impact

  • I will agree with covering the whole blade. I've heard that if you cover a blade with duct tape, you can even get some cracks and it'll still go for a while longer. But I have to disagree about using PVC for the blade. Mainly because it is too heavy. It throws off the balance of the weapon and doesn't work well as a prop. If you want to do serious fighting, PVC won't work.

  • thanks

  • I agree. I also heard that if you hit the PVC blade too hard, it will just shatter.

  • i cant under sand what it is is it cppb tubing plz tell me what it is!

  • PVC pipe is the tubing most commonly used for sprinkler systems. It's a good lightweight white tubing, but works well for making movie props also, easily available at your local hardward store.

  • hi i live on the Gold Coast and i got all these parts at Bunnings and Crazy Clarks. but thanks for the tutorial it helped me a lot!! :)

  • is the aluminim tubing matal??

  • Yeah.

  • i thought so

  • i only seen them at lowes yesterday

  • would the black rods with threds be at home depot

  • I'd assume so, but don't personally know.

  • where can i get carbonfibre rods???????????

  • Randomsabers . com as I said, but I've heard it takes a while to ship. Carbonfibertubesshop . com seems like a good place. dragonplate . com seems to have them pretty cheap. But don't take my word for it. I'm just looking at basic websites and don't really know anything specific about them.

Also, be aware that if you use carbon fiber rods, it's probably a better idea to use screws to hold the blade in. You can find websites (like bigyellowbox . tripod . com) to help you with this.

  • what about pvc?

  • alluminum rods i think are the best.. apart from carbon fiber but thats a bit expensive.. wood is cheap, but not strong enough for me =/

id find it annoying having to replace them all the time.. alluminum rods i think are the best.

    thanks for this man

    peace out

    x

  • Not to bad, but it's a little bit to thin.

  • Yeah, they should have different thicknesses, though, especially if you get regular PVC.

  • dude i love this vid. i even make the same kind of lightsaber

  • coll nice stuff

  • cool nice stuff
