  • This for the Olympic games!

  • If there was a god, he would bless all people, and not care too much about countries. He certainly wouldn't care about patriotism. Nice piece of music, though.

  • US USA USA!

(from a Brit who loves America and what she stands for)

  • Great outstanding rendition. I love both Heifetz and Oistrakh.

  • I just ♥ it

  • Recently, I've become the big fan of Mr. Heifetz though I didn't know him at all in 20th century. Thank you for your posting!

    How impressive it is!

  • You are very welcome!

  • :-D

  • may i ask where did u get this audio? really great!

  • I don't know the source of this-my teacher had it in his collection and he couldn't remember who sent it to him. Also on the disc was the Villa-Lobos piece (that I have also posted). In any case, you and everyone else that have shown such appreciation..a big "you're welcome"!

  • nevermind, thx

    =)

  • wow! That gave me chills! Beautiful!

  • What a surprise to find this! Thought I had most of Heifetz' recordings and didn't even know this existed. This has inspired me to upload some stuff of my own. Don't suppose you have his recording of Mairzy Doats?

  • I always hope to hear more such surprises, but as you figured, I don't have "Mairzy Doats" played by him. :)

Am looking forward to seeing what you post. Good luck with that!

  • OUTSTANDING THANK YOU SO MUCH WHAT A 4th OF JULY PRESENT!! GOD BLESS THE USA!!!

  • You're very welcome! Mr. Heifetz was indeed very actively patriotic. Sorry I took so long to respond to your kind note.

  • It is moving. I nearly cry, it is soooo wonderful. I am going to add this to my music play list. :D Thank you for sharing this emotional version.

  • Perhaps someone who knows about these radio shows and the way they were handled can shed some light on the subject. I believe that the applause was for Heifetz and the audience was told when they should show their appreciation.

  • That was terrific! Played beautifully with no flash for flash sake. Bravo Mr. Heifetz

  • You're both entirely welcome!

  • Amazing, i think this is something cool!

  • Thanks for Posting!!

  • Wow. Goosebumps. Simply wonderful.
