I watch this maybe once a week; one of the best live performances going. Fantastic song, great performance, she looks perfect, and the crowd knows all of the above. Thanks for posting.
This song makes me smile and at the same time, almost brings a tear to my eye because I miss the '90's so much. Shawn is a brilliant writer/singer, and this is definitely one of the best and deepest written songs from that decade. 1997 classic...
I never quite 'get' this song. Its a masterpiece to me! It's so obvious its about a woman in an abusive relationship and she's finally had 'enough'. Been thinking about a plan to escape for a long time and finally put that plan into action. This could have easily been my life, but I finally escaped another way. Having said that: Why is Shawn always simling when she sings this song? What the heck am I missing? LOVE this song! thanks for uploading this song.
With all due respect to "lagufavorits" if you are going to commemorate someone's great work by posting their song, take an extra moment to get the title right.
Best performance of this song I've seen....Stuart's guitar work is stellar....love the crescendos at the end...ending the song that way....brilliant! I'm writing from the new "express yourself" program at Bellevue Hospital....it's awesome! Thank you Shawn Colvin!!!
I love this... she relates in such an abstract yet articulate way, you can't help but feel it. Mrs. Colvin is such an extremely gifted artist, you can't find this elsewhere. Shawn, you are a gift to this world.
I love this song! Unfortually it's the only one I like by Shawn Colvin. Kinda like one of those one hit wonders. I know she had other stuff after this came out but nothing real great. I still love you Shawn :)

@IndividuallyRapped22 Yep. Sometimes I do feel like a pyromaniac on the edge of psychological oblivion. No, I'm not joking. I'm agreeing with your statement. And the song IS about an uckfupped arsonist. I wish I could flame the realm of surrealistic reality I seem to remain in longer and longer each day that goes by...

Grea guitar intro. Reminds me of "The Birds" Roger McGuinn playing a Rickenbacker 12-string.

@Sueski2 Maybe she likes the thought of revenge? I think that's a very normal form of satisfaction for most honest people.

@Sueski2 She's smiling 'cos she knows that so many of us think about doing this a lot of the time :)
