  • A bit too much time on your hands?

  • @g8spikyhair how do you know they didn't make money from this clip, u watched it so u must have a lot of free time as well.

  • This is so cool, But why spend 100$ on vinyl and do a fridge?

  • @jettenjetta If it's an older fridge. Or maybe a recent move puts the fridge out of context with the new kitchen's interior design. Many reasons. We just wanted to show an unorthodox, but very reasonable and easy use / installation :)

  • did you use 94 primer before the di noc?

  • @eyon17 yes, at 0:53 mark it's advised and displayed to use it on the edge and around any embossed pieces. This makes sure the DI-NOC does not bubble up, as the 94 Primer enhances the adhesive properties of the DI-NOC

  • Is it a matt or gloss finish?

  • @TheLittleWorldofGaz This product is a matte finish, but 3M does make a product with a gloss finish under the Scotchprint series 1080.

  • I bought some carbon fiber vinyl to cover my bar fridge!

  • I'm thinking of putting this on shoes, any suggestions?

  • @phantomsfire980 actually, you probably don't want to use this on shoes unless they're completely wooden and waterproofed with a finish (ie something a person wouldn't wear for comfort). With DI-NOC, your substrate needs to be non-porous, and definitely hardened so the material doesn't shift once its applied. Otherwise, from the expansion of putting the shoes off and on, the DI-NOC will likely wrinkle and eventually tear within the first few wears..

  • @phantomsfire980.... If you want to look like a fag, Then yes.

  • If grandma can do it....I can do it too =D

  • Hey nice Video! Where i can buy this carbon fiber and the rest materials ...? Thanx

  • @Ero818 i have to spell out because YouTube doesn't allow URLs due to spam:

you can order at idsfinishes dot c o m

  • @3mdinoc thanx alot ill check out

  • The future is laughing at you. Carbon fiber is the new "shit orange" of every appliance from 1976. So, just remember that, folks.

  • @djkinney I hope you're not still using the same fridge from 35 years ago! And if you are, hey, throw some Carbon Fiber Di-NOC on it. And when you're tired of that, remove it, and then put another design (maybe wood, or whatever you suggest). That's what great about 3M DI-NOC, the look is replaceable and interchangeable but permanent if you want it to be.

  • @3mdinoc O.K. How permanent is it? I mean, I've seen it in automotive applications, but can it hold up to intense sunlight? What's the lifespan? Months?

  • @djkinney Indoor applications of DI-NOC Architectural Finishes have an expected durability of twelve (12) years* while outdoor applications have an expected durability of four (4)*, though these are both climate specific, and for vertical surfaces. I would safely say on a horizontal vehicle expected durability is 2 - 3 years. We have an employee who is going into her 2nd year, and still no scratches. You can visit the IDSfinishes dot c o m FAQ pages for more info.

  • I want a ricer fridge. :)

Hey check it out guys my fridge weighs 30lbs!!! Trust me on that. No! Don't lift it.

  • it look nice but it doesnt look glossy. does it come in different varieties like flat, gloss and so on?

  • @MrBeto2020 3M has just started selling an alternate version of carbon fiber inspired material under the Scotchprint banner. Called 1080-CF12, it's thinner and glossier than DI-NOC. You can contact EPD (rep Cameron Forte) at 410-882-0800 for more info!

  • does the primer leave that yellow sticky thing behind once the vinyl is removed?

  • @jo5566200 yes and no...essentially DI-NOC is a PERMANENT installation. It's recommended if you wish to change the look of DI-NOC to simply apply over it with a new layer (up to 5). If you choose to remove it however, be aware your substrate will more than likely sustain damage, and this may include adhesion residue. General Adhesive Remover by 3M may help in those situations.

  • Does the primer stay wet while you're applying the dinoc? I noticed when I used my dinoc without it, squeezing the bubbles out didnt work so well. Does the primer make the vinyl slide on the surface easier?

  • @CanadianFE Actually the Primer dries quickly. It does the exact OPPOSITE of sliding, by actually bring a better adhesion between the DI-NOC and the surface you're applying, and is almost always recommended for permanent adhesion. It should not affect your ability to squeegee out the airbubbles however, due to the Comply technology, which is essentially small channels on the adhesion side that allow bubbles to be squeegeed out. • Great… except for the Ravens magnet… Go Steelers!!!
