what a strong man. I am very grateful to his great book "god is not great" and many video clips posted on you tube in his efforts to enlighten the dark minds.
@ThirdRAILKink I think that is what has kept him going. A man of lesser will would have at least succumbed to the general feeling of malaise that overcomes the vast majority of terminal cancer sufferer's ability to get about.
When Hitch says: 'I am not as I was' it breaks my heart. He died approx 6 weeks after this speech.

I owe this man so much. I am one of the countless people he spoke to in the void of christianity, and woke me up.

No atheists in foxholes, huh? Absolute twaddle. And Hitch is evidence of that.

Poor old Dawkins. He lost his mate Douglas Adams and eventually he'll lose Hitchens too.

I wish the sound didn't crap out at the end. I always like to hear what Mr. Hitchens has to say.

it takes a great man to keep on fighting for what is true even at his worst

So sad, but beautiful at the same time. With his illness, Hitch once again demonstrates the non-existence of any just and fair god.

It's sad to see him looking like this, but at least he still has some of his vinegar and bite.
