well first i wold like to say i didnt' read red dragon is it good? and um at the end . . . it was just that as I'm sure you've heard in comments on all these videos, the author intends them to end up together. and I just felt like that was out of character for clarice because the biggest part of her character is her ethic and moral code and her commitment to that so it wa jut wierd to me

Never really seemed odd to me... Clarice's problem was that the biggest part of her life was ethics, morals, and work. BUT, that is no life at all really. She had to break out of the mold.

red dragon is good (i re-read it often), but I am partial to the others...

Does anyone find it extraordinary how dialed in Harris is to sexual/emotional tension in the books? I couldn't expect more from a woman.(I know it's stereo-typical, but most male crime/mystery writers aren't talented in that area)

If Thomas Harris wrote another book featuring Hannibal Lecter and Clarice Starling there would be no way for it to be able to be filmed filmed due to the fact that the end in the film Hannibal is drastically different from that of the novel. And between you and me, I wouldn't want him to write another novel for the series because Hannibal Rising the book was crapola and the movie was even more terrible. Does anyone else agree?

I have to say I usually like the books more than movies in general, but Ijsut finished reading HAnnibal adn the ending was just . . . weird . . like I feel like both the characterswent wildly out of char. and I always loved Starling's char becasue she will always stick to her guns and morals and tha was why they could never be together, and I like the idea of them sort of playing cat and moouse across the world bt never being able to really be tgether better than that wierd happy couple thing
