Opening ceremonies were great. They should have shown more of what India is about instead of just endless parade of dancers. After a while I was sick of the classical dancers. They could have shown great athletes from past, different regions of India etc.

I would say the Beijing Olympics ceremony was more precisely executed, however it lacked heart and seemed a little too focused on scale rather than imagination. Incorrect info!! Only 2-3 British swimmers talked of the water quality at the pool, and that too, shockingly, they were talking about it being not good days before they ever entered that pool. No other athletes had any problem. Goes on to show that the British imperialist mind will never change, never, as far as the countries they ruled, forever. Opening ceremonies were great. They should have shown more of what India is about instead of just endless parade of dancers. After a while I was sick of the classical dancers. They could have shown great athletes from past, different regions of India etc.

Good opening ceremony. Full of warmth and vibrancy. I would say the Beijing Olympics ceremony was more precisely executed, however it lacked heart and seemed a little too focused on scale rather than imagination. However both these beat the Sydney 2000 opener hands down - have no idea why everyone thinks that turkey was so good.
