as for the language... first of all I want to be sure that u make a difference between turkic and turkish. The Turkish language belongs to the Oghuz subfamily of Turkic. So far it is known that bulgarian tribes allied with avarians creating the avarian haganat after the fall of turkic hagant and therefore bulgarians were influenced by turkic.
