si es danza contemporánea pero no tiene mucha técnica, ella es bailarina de intuición, muy orgánica, no de método, pero eso la hace una artista muy completa, y lo suyo obvio es el belly dance y ritmos latinos, ahora, Shakira nunca ha dicho "yo soy bailarina de danza contemporánea" es como si yo me tiro a un charco y todos dicen ¡ahhh así no se debe de tirar a los charcos!!!

@carrillo1989 Existe cierto crédito con lo que ha querido hacer aquí, pero se ha tomado un gran riesgo. Satie es minimalista pero ¿justificarla diciendo que es bailarina de "intuición"? Partiendo que ni la pieza está completa, la cortan. Como si la primera parte la hubiera entendido pero lo demás No. Yo pienso que al menos debió guardar respeto y no cortar la pieza para que los demás "sólo oigan la parte bonita de la canción"

@carrillo1989 Y seguramente nunca dijo que era danzante contemporánea, no tienes que ser alguien para al menos intentar representar una pieza en movimientos corporales acorde a la intención de ésta. Pero se nota que no se ha dado el trabajo suficiente para poder aprender bien, y no lo digo necesariamente por su técnica, sino por la interpretación, que es lo más importante en el arte.

@FiatObscuritas A lo mejor sí, de hecho a mi no me gusta tanto Shakira, pero es innegable que es muy completa, ¿Y no se ha dado el tiempo? Pues es cuestión de cada quién, probablemente tenga mejores cosas que hacer, pero como te digo lo de ella es el belly dance y los ritmos latinos.

@pixelitadepollo De verdad es bastante triste, y mucho más que de una manera editen el audio de esa pieza y corten pedazos. Es para mí tremendamente malísimo. Se sobreentiende con esto que los involucrados (Ella misma obviamente) de esto, sólo "les gustó" la primera parte porque lo demás que sigue de la pieza les 'aburrió' (o en otras palabras, no entienden sobre estas piezas artísticas). Pierde todo el respeto de muchos.

@vctorina This is a fairly simple contemporary routine, that doesn't mean it's not a dance. So I think it's you who should show a bit more respect.

I loved it, it's simplistic and not your everyday routine in which people try to fit as much movement as possible in each beat. That's not to say that I don't like those types of routines. I like them but I also like this which shows you how captivating simple movement can be.

This is awesome! I love contemporary dance. I did jazz when I was a lot younger but stopped dancing to take up acting and singing instead. But now I do contemporary dance on my performing arts degree and I highly recommend it, even for non dancers. IT's a lot of fun, and fantastic exercise! LOVE IT!

I love Satie and I have no respect whatsoever for Shakira. I think she sings horrible (her voice sounds like a wounded goat). despite being a 'forward thinker' in terms of music, and as a one of the first minimalist musician, having his music accompanying modern dance would shock him....dont get me wrong its good,im not critcising the dance...hay but i guess satie was an eccentric man, maybe he would like modern dance!

I'm not so sure it would shock him. Satie wrote numerous modern ballet scores, and along with Stravinsky, Ravel, and Prokofiev, he helped to usher in a new modernist trend in dance. John Cage convinced the most radical of all modern dancers, Merce Cunningham, that Satie's music was well-suited for modern dance. Do a youtube search for "Septet". Satie is now regarded as one of the best composers to use for contemporary choreography.

no, but a 'gymnopedia' is a Spartan dance festival (according to wiki). Satie also wrote a series of dances (his sarabands) before writing the gymnopedies.
