Isnt the challenge of the Quran subjective? the challenge is to bring a surah like it, but who is the final arbiter? Who judges and how do we know that the judge is qualified and impartial?
Also, if you study the history the Arabs during the time of Prophet Mohammad were the masters in the arabic language. They used to even challenge each other with poetry in the markets. When the Quranic versus came the pagan arabs could not believe how these words were put together. It was beyond anything they have ever heard. You can find out more at the Hamza's website: theinimitablequran
mashaalah, he is a very good lecture indeed. i love him for the sake of ALlah.
i have one question, got nothing to do with the lecture tho..is it really that hard to buy a nice affordable camera in order to capture this type of event better? the lecture, like i said, is great but to watch it in this level of quality is quite frustrating.
c'm on, seriously, is it really that hard to do that?
Also, understanding the text comment is neither here nor there, people understand the ddchalmers: [continued] Quran and have done so for years, this is not an argument. You say the Quran is not a miracle rather its natural, well prove it please. Hamza has described what a miracle is and has shown how the Quran is a miracle, why dont you argue against those points? See here for more hamzatzortzis .blogspot . com / 2009 /01/questions-how-does-qurans-uniqueness . html
ddchalmers: It is a shame you have not paid attention to the whole argument. The onus of proof is on you as there is a consensus amongst western and eastern scholarship on the universally accepted statement that Hamza was talking about. Rational deduction is method that he uses to make logical conclusions as the other possible sources for the Quran do not provide comprehensive answers. You have to show how your argument is provides a comprehensive answer.
"It must have come from the Creator if you believe that the Creator exists..." Is NOT a rational deduction "argument" but a false conclusion - which leads one back to ignorance (around 27min)
The "miracle" is that so many read religious texts and never really understand them - and certainly never understand God. Relying on quoting Western scholars is the worst mistake in this respect.
With those hand gestures, what is he trying to sell us? The Quran is not a "miracle" but quite "natural"
Masha'Allah great talk again by brother Hamza.
May Allah succeed him in his works. 'Ameen.
Jazakamullah khair for the upload.
Salamu 'Alaikum.

remember - the files are VERY big ... they are hard to upload so maybe thats why the quality is lower :) it might not be a camera issue at all

The Qur'an is most certainly a miracle. Hes quoting wester scholars to show that not only Muslim scholars appreciate the Qur'ans inimitibilty.
His argument is quite clear and proves Islams Truth.
