Mary's perpetual virginity is not proved by showing that alternate meanings of words such as "brother" and "until" exist. Many words are like that and it is not honest to craft a doctrine by insisting on meanings which are favorable to the doctrine when the natural reading of the key verses is so strong otherwise. Jerome's long polemic against Helvidius is an example of this biased attempt.
Joh:10:1: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Joh:10:1: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
@dikkygreggy01 infallibility of the doctrine of the catholic church .
Infant baptism denies the teaching of Jesus that baptism is for believers. True baptism expresses conviction of sin and genuine repentance. It requires faith in the sacrifice of Jesus as the means by which forgiveness has become possible. All of this is manifestly impossible for infants who do not yet know what sin is and can neither believe nor repent.
Jesus said " I am the way, the truth, and the life. Noone comes to the father but through me." Meaning Jesus is the only one to save your soul. Mary cannot hear our prayers. The Bible also tells us to prove all things and hold fast to what is true. It doesnt matter if every pope said she was. The Bible is Gods word. Follow The Word and not the system of religion.
the infallibility of the doctrine of the catholic church is as hard as a rock because it is rooted from the divine truth. Mary is the is the spiritual bride of Christ and her being the mother of God, just fitting to be loved and venerated.
@dikkygreggy01 infallibility of the doctrine of the catholic church .
The doctrine of Purgatory is a false Gospel, which presumes that prayers PURCHASED from the church by the living, can somehow balance the "merits" (good works) of long dead "saints" against the sins of the unforgiven dead, to atone for them! This iniquitous invention of the Devil, offers a deliverance from the penalty of sin, which is not based on true repentance and which is not taught anywhere in the Bible.

The church's practical application of the Sermon on the Mount is a travesty. Nothing is closer to the heart of what it means to be a child of God than the insistence of Jesus that we love our enemies, do good to them, pray for them and bless them. In the teaching and practice of the Catholic Church, however, this has all been set aside.( inquisitions )

No doubt that the Catholic Church is Full of Error and Apsotasy. The Cross where Jesus shed his precious blood is the True Church and True Baptism. Where else do we as Christians congregate our SINS into Jesus. The blood of Jesus Washes our Sins away. We are made the image of Jesus Holy and Acceptable to the Holy Father for the eternal Kingdom. ONLY BY FAITH not any local church. Eucharist is fruad and error the CROSS of Jesus is TRUE done by the hands of God, not man.
but yet we cannot bash them or call them wrong-let us not forget about the parable about casting stones as judgment with the adulturous woman.
I was once Lutheran and now Catholic and I feel that the Eucharist is a depth that is unmmatched and the living Christ, which is the center of our Church.
But, as Pope John Paul II advocated, we must break down those walls and reach out to our brothers and sisters. Let us pray for them =] prayers > words.
Catholic Church is true Church of Christ that is why many false prophets are trying to crash the catholic church but they will not succeed because the catholic church is protected by the holy spirit.
Catholic church was the church that Jesus founded.
All other churches were founded after 16 century.
Whatever the others say against the church they have no proof because they are the false.
prophets. proof of catholic truthfulness you will find when you ask Stanley villavincencio
God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Hebrews 2v14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Hebrews 2v16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Original sin is also catholic. If you believe that, then Mary has to be an emasculate conception,
So not to pass it on to Christ. We are born with a fallen nature, that later becomes sinful, with no power to say no to sin, without the holy spirit, Romans 12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
So not to pass it on to Christ. We are born with a fallen nature, that later becomes sinful, with no power to say no to sin, without the holy spirit, Romans 12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
The our farther I under stand he is god, and he hears you (devine)
Christ is MEDIATOR, no one cumes to the farther but by me, hebrwes 7 25Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, Christ is Devine. he can hear you,
Mary with respect is mortal like all of us, she cant hear people praying, shes not like god.
Mary was only human, you tell me how Mary can hear 1 billon rosaries all at the same time,
Well put, not to hard to understand once you read into it. Catholic church is full of error and apostasy. I just did a study in Revelation on the 7 churhes, when Jezebel comes up, it is Mary. Look at Ashera in the OT also Mary. God is Soveriegn and deals with a lot of Idolatry. One reason God gave us his Son Jesus is to look to Jesus, not any other figure like Mary. God is revealed thru Jesus.
Mary is DEAD ... Dead in Christ asleep. Mary is a sinner saved by the Grace of GOd dispensed only by Jesus whom is the only MEDIATOR between Man and God.
Jesus is the only Ressurected from the Dead. The Dead in Christ are Just that and we are forbidden to communicate with the DEAD
2 Timothy 2 17Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18who have wandered away from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some.
If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
This scripture does not EXCLUDE Mary. Mary was not concieved from a virgin birth as Jesus. She is a sinner saved by the same means of Grace that all are.
Mary did need a savior ...Jesus is her savior. Mary had to be kept free from original sin in order to give Jesus a completely untainted, spotless and imaculate human nature so that He could be the Spotless Lamb of Sacrafice. Mary couldn't do this on her own because she was a mere mortal. She needed a Savior like everyone else. But God is not limited to time and space, Mary had the effect of salvation before Jesus did the work of salvation and she was given the gift of being preserved for him.
@SKYSPLASH Amen! The bigger-than-life Mary of Roman Catholicism is a FALSE portrayal of the Biblical Mary (the Bible never portrays Mary as being anything more than a godly woman used by God).
Mary is not dead, we are not suppose to communicate with the dead but that means the spiritually dead...Mary is in heaven and all the saints in heaven are alive. The book of Rev talks about the prayers of the saints and Rev 12 is a referece to Mary. Yes Jesus is the only mediator between God and Man. Mary can't go right to the father but she can go to Jesus for us just like I can go to him for you and vise versa. We can ask saints to pray for us just like I can ask you to pray for me and so on.
@sarahmcc28 The woman in revelation is a picture of the Israelite nation as shown in Gen37:9,10 with the sun representing Jacob, the moon his wife Rachel, and the 12 stars representing the tribes of Israel. Christ was born of Israel. The Israelite nation is often referred to as a woman in Isaiah54:5 and Jeremiah31:32.This woman cannot be mary because the woman IS ON EARTH DURING THE TRIBULATION, whereas mary's spirit is in heaven at that time.
Hear from 2:40 when man ignores implication of Jesus equalizing believers with His mother (His brothers are beside the point) when He says, "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and MOTHER." (Matt 12:50, Mark 3:35, emphasis mine)
I see mistakes and deceptions here. For example, man on right says, "Jesus fulfilled the law, He honoured His mother." Other man says, "yes, and we should follow his example and keep the law and honour His mother too." But wait! The law says honour YOUR mother and father. You see the ERROR?!

@nando33 No--not quite. Atheism (unlike a theism) does not hold beliefs as absolutes.
The atheist "position" I hold is: there is no evidence for "god", therefore no reason to believe in one. This logic works exactly like the scientific method. A claim must be demonstrated with reliable evidence for before declaring it knowledge.

You Catholic’s love quoting the fathers, “saying way way back “
Well let’s go “way way back” to the apostles, in the New Testament,
What do they say about Mary? She was the mother of Jesus.
Do the apostles say any thing else? Absolutely not.
Ga:1:9: As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Notice, none of these verses say "all have sinned, except Mary."
"But the scripture hath concluded all under sin..." Galatians 3:22
Mary knew she needed a Savior
In Luke's gospel, Mary herself admits that she was a sinner. Otherwise she would never have concluded that she needed a Saviour:
