Peter Davison did the same thing. His Real name's peter moffat. He changed it cos there was another guy with that name. Curiosly enough both Peter davison and peter moffat worked on Dr who.

It's actually Peter Moffett, and if you mean the writer, his name's actually Steven and his surname's Moffatt. Different spelling. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
