  • reverse gripped 225 on the smith machine tonight, felt good about myself, and then i see this.....I hate you. i kid.

  • Nice job Honch!

  • You sir, are terrifyingly strong.

  • reverse grip works the upper chest. Incline typically works about 10% of the cupper chest. Reverse grip bench gets closer to ~30% . Its an awkward motion at first, but do it a few times and you'll get the motion down.

  • nice press, just out of curiosity, what did you weigh in this vid?

  • damn bro! impressive, iv'e never thought of benching like this, seen the owner of my gym do this before but may i ask what purpose does it serve to reverse your grip on bench? sorry if that sound sarcastic but i'm not trying to be, just interested in knowing the difference between reverse and regular grip, maybe a possible routine i could add to my flat bench routine.

  • @thekingoftown07 emphasizes the triceps.

  • fucken ballsy lift, ox like strength

  • full tricep workout.

  • If I may ask - what's the point with reverse grip?

  • @Tercious being really impressive.

  • LOSE THE BELLY

  • @ironintel why? hes not a bodybuilder or a body sculptor. he’s a strongman so looks are less important then strength, once u can press wat he does the way he does it we will all praise u, otherwise keep ur negative comments to yourself

  • @ironintel LOSE THE JEALOUSY

  • beastly

  • damn, you have long monkey arms like me. and you bench alot...BADASS!!!!!!

  • @FinalBossDesu im not saying your targeting just the upper pectoralis minor. just that in the reverse grip you get more activation than the flat or inclince bench. of course you still active the rest of the pec, just more muscle is activated in the clavicular pec right?

  • @FinalBossDesu * Australian researchers reported when weight-trained subjects performed incline bench presses, the muscle activity of their upper pecs was only about 5% more than the muscle activity of their upper pecs during the flat bench press. * Canadian scientists found that when trained lifters did the reverse-grip bench press, the muscle activity of their upper pecs was 30% greater than when they did the bench press with a standard overhand grip.

  • looks like a painfull grip lol

  • damn ur a beast

  • Thanks brah.

  • I once saw a ametour bodybuilder do 400 lbs for a set of 10.

What is the purpose behind the reverse grip presses?

  • AMAZING! The lift itself was great but REVERSE GRIP!?

    Instant 5/5 awesome stuff!

  • good lord that was impressive. i can't even bench that with my arms in the regular position

  • Nice background music! lol John your a freak

  • OMFG this guy is outrageous!

    Strong, strong, strong.

    Go for WSM, dude.

  • he would have to be on the same lvl as kevin nee .. which he is not .. but he is strong as an ox

  • Kevin is awesome - but this guy is awesome too. They each have relative strengths, but I expect Connor to go crazy the next year or two.

  • Damn man you are strong as hell and its obvious you have worked very hard to get to where you are. How much do you flat bench max?

  • No need to apologize for everything. Someone doesnt like what they see they can click another link. Really motivating stuff man!

  • Strong lift man

  • damn great lift

  • Good power bro...tell your spotters to get their hands off the bar. 5 stars!
