  • Keep opposing the death penalty and I'll keep on voting against you.

  • I had no opinion on Nader until now. Frankly I dissagree with what he says. The death penalty in my opinion is a good thing. I honestly think it is too slow. People shouldnt be sitting on death row for 20 or 30 years. Give them a specific number of appeals like 5 and if the court rules against them in every ruling then there sentencing should be carried out quickly. That way we the taxpayers do not have to pay for them.

  • Ralph Nader and Jerry Brown are right on the mark when they speak about helping people who have molested children and raped women, not kill them!!

Jerry Brown for Governor of California!

  • The Death Penalty is truly barbaric.

  • @ProsperityGlobal: To the barbarians give barbaric reprisal.

  • Murder is NEVER ok,whether it is committed by an individual or ordered by a court!

  • The best video under 1 minute!

  • Regardless of the basis to oposing or justifying the death penalty - whether it is religiouis teaching or the Natural law,

Nader, in less than a minutel, calrified and focused on the other reasons: it is costly, open to error (literally deadly errors), vulnerable to the bias of the social and econmic structure and above all that it is not an effective social tool for it does not work as a deterrent.

    Strong argument I say.

  • the death penalty is never ok, because there are too many wrongful convictions and it's never worth the risk of killing an innocent person.

  • What I can't understand is the total inconsistency of most politicians moral values in being against torture yet for the death penalty. They are both legal criminal acts of murder and abuse by the government, and neither are acceptable.

  • most politicians don't base their stances on systems of ethics. they're just trying to sell themselves here & there to this constituency,or that constituency to bring votes in, and beyond that, to bow to the demands of whatever financial powers are funding their campaigns. nader is obviously an exception

  • @yviva: Yes, it's better for the innocent to rot in prison.

  • I'm glad they take this principled decission. No matter what any one else says, the death penalty is essentially legal murder by the government whether it be against criminals or not. And too often innocent victims suffer the irreversible punishment of the death penalty.
