How can you say that "It is actually very easy to change the world"? If it's so easy, then why are there missionaries? Why are there people living in the streets? Why are there people killing one another? If it's so easy to save the world then please, do it. But in my opinion, the only person capable of making any kind of a difference in this world is God. Only through him, can any good come out.

I totally disagree with your video description. I think Shawn is talking about how much pain God feels when we do things that are harmful to one another or to ourselves. He's saying we need to learn to care for one another or we are nothing.
i agree with this guy below me... he's speaking of how much it breaks the Lord's heart when people don't come to Him. Furthermore, at the end shawn admonishes himself to learn love for those who are denying God..to have a compassionate heart rather than judgemental or anything else. That's what i took away from the song :)
i disagree with you he is not saying that our pain is inevitable. if you look at the lyrics, he is saying that how hard it must be for God to see us doing what he despises. That we go and do the same things over and over, defying God basically. Doesn't mean he believes we can't change.
God already knows if we will change or not. He weeps for us because he already knows most of man kind will not inherit his kingdom, the gate is narrow...
