I have seen hundreds of movies, but the only movie in my life which made me sentimental is this movie, when I started watching it, I had no idea, what master piece I am gonna watch, from story line to direction, scren play, suspense, every single thing has been considered for its completeness. This movie is a no doubt a movie of a decade.
This is the best boxing movie made since Raging Bull in the 80s. The cinematography is beautiful and Hilary Swank completely amazes you with her performance
thanks for the enlightening comment on the contemporary state on the film industry, you clearly seem to have a deep understanding of it, i would have never guessed the gravity of the role of the director, thank you again for that..
Actually, I do have a deep understanding of it. As a matter of fact, I am part of it. I am a filmmaker and have worked on several large productions and also am a junior cinema student, so I think I know what I am talking about.
Eastwood is making all his best stuff in his 60s and 70s. The man is amazing. Just saw Million dollar baby again a few days ago. It's even better than I remembered. Terrific movie. MO CUISHLE !!!
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
Great movie, great story.Get the DVD with the special feature Disc and watch "Born to fight".Great Documentary. Lucia Ryker(The other fighter) was a real champion and had a hard time getting fights. She gets interviewed and talks alot about what its like.
I have the DVD also, and I have watched it a several times, but I have only watched the ending once. It's just too extremely sad. The ending too hard to watch.
a superb film. its not about making you cry or something. its the acting, one liners and again acting. (i have to mention it twice because it is of such class). one of the finest movies ever.
I really loved this movie even though it made me cry...... About more than people just getting punched. (enen though there is alot of it in there) Oh and at the end--- Notive HE is not wearing tights. pants!
That's what Barton Finx should have wrote.

well thats the business side pal,
studios blow 200million, employ up to 150 ppl, waste hundrets of meters of negative to make the money cow scream but thats another topic.
point is without the screenplay there wouldnt be any of this.
check out wga strike.
paul haggis was signed to direct this one too "working title "rope burns" imdb it. he was bought off when they brought in clint.
oh and btw i believe it is the DOP that works out the lighting well he tells his gaffer who adjust the it for him.
somanoid 2 years ago
eastwood just bought the movie, give credit to the writer paul haggis, same guy who wrote "crash"..
somanoid 2 years ago
Some still had to work out all the shots and the lighting AND act in it at the same time. He didn't just buy the movie you rube.
oldfool666 2 years ago
U are a moron. Haggis may have wrote it, but directing is just as an important job. You clearly have no idea how the film industry works. dipshit.
