I heard 1 of the suspects died, and 1 of the guys who knew about the robbery and knew they guys who did it died, as he was dieng (in prison) a guard said his last words were:" They Isabella Stweart Garnder Paitings are hidden in a house in Maine!"

I just watched a documentary called "Stolen" about the hunt to get the paintings back-VERY interesting!

It hurts to know these pieces are gone (even if they must be in some private collection or whatever) but its so intriguing...!

i just hope no one has burned/destroyed them in the last 20 years-seeing the popularity and complete lack of anonymity to anyone still holding on to one of them! I mean look, after all this popularity, anyone trying to get the reward money or be the "nice-guy" in returning any of this artwork will not be considered this but instead (and rightly so), a douch-bag! ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT VERMEER MADE 32 PAINTINGS IN HIS LIFE AND WHOEVER STOLE/OWNS THIS IS F'D - 2 KEEP IT FROM THE REST OF US!!!

the truth is as follows:

There are definitely people(s) who are alive, and follow the investigation who have "possession" of this missing art.

#1 it has to be somewhere

#2 whoever has it, knows what it is

#3 everyone brag's about stuff

#4 you have this art to "show it off"

someone paying a "price" for the stolen art for the high publicity , would produce the art almost instantly,
