Whats dynamic about this, the animations are downright awful did anyone see anderson sprint in the demo? And the TPS mechanics are downright bad, worse than ME2 actually compared to gears or Binary Domain laughably out of date. Enemies don't react to damage they just go from stage 1 > fine to dead they don't lose limbs or crawl or get more agressive nothing. Hell even ME2 had some reactive damage why is it gone now? And the RPG elemets are dumbed down, who is this game for exactly?
the heavy melee misses all the time in multiplayer, mostly because the enemies sidestep while you are winding up. You have to stun/disorient/knockback or box in the enemies somehow to get it just right. Also if an enemy is on the ground but not dead most heavy melee attacks will not hit them. This kind of stuff really should have been fixed in the beta testing phase....

@DarthRavan2012 Thumbs down because you said it was good. It wasn't. Not even slightly. In fact I'd say it was the worst game I ever bothered to play all the way through. And the only reason I did is that I had convinced myself that the game might just be slow starting out and would pick up once the plot got into full swing. But the same moment that there's actually a real conflict that you can care about, and its even the slightest bit epic, it turns out that you'll have to wait for DA3.
.... and because they spent so much time adding many things in, they forgot to fine tune the running animations. Thank you bioware, for making it look like we have to poop in me3. Looking forward to the 'dynamic' 4 different global animations that were featured in me2.

I must say to all the people that are going to play ME3 with playing the first two, and others will back me up on this, PLAY MASS EFFECT 1, THEN 2, AND THEN MASS EFFECT 3.
Playing the other two first will give you loads of more depth to the story, much more customisation from the choices made, potentially more squad members and allys/enemies.
It will give you extra missions, xp, credits, resources, encounters, dialogue options, paragon/renegade, and generally more game length.
@Devmarta Man you are so right. Too bad most people will just see it as a new badass game... I haven't personally had the chance to play the first 2 games but that's because I haven't had a chance. I recently got a 360 and i've played the ME3 demo and it's cool. I just have no idea though.... should I feel ashamed? :P
@Devmarta Or you could download a save game, especially if you regret some of the choices you made in earlier games and don't want to spend 100 hours making a new save file across two games. Like how I killed off Ashley in ME1 :I.
I have just finished a 2nd complete play through (both ME1 and ME2) with a female character and now I’m all set for ME3 with my male and female Shepards.
But after I finished i think I just made the waiting for ME3 worse.

button that makes squad unload there powers and even get in the bullet path of the one shooting at shepard to stop him dying (they have shields so its not stupid), if its more than one, then you're an idiot for getting swamped, but its annoying at times in 2, ur in cover u adrenaline and take out all but one and ur on no health and they get you.
a double tap down on the dpad gets your teammates on the one shooting you, to either kill or distract
@123flippnout If you want the most complete experience play through 1 & 2 first. Otherwise default choices will be made for you that are most likely detrimental to the final outcome. Furthermore playing the 1st two will provide a wealth of minor interaction and choices that not only complement the larger story but also provide a rich context for the universe in which the game exists. Simply jumping into the 3rd one will negate that experience and will leave you less connected to the story
Dear ME3 devs, is this a video demonstration of how boring the game can go, or is it just a pure satisfaction from making a first melee mechanic ever? Hard to tell.
The swat/roll/advance cover mechanics would have been appreciated 3 years earlier.
@Y33haw355 The knife in CoD causes a dynamic kill animation that uses ragdoll. The Omni-Blade causes a scripted kill animation that will look exactly the same every time. It's not a question of good or bad gameplay mechanic, it's just going to be a total eyesore.
@chiffmonkey The COD knife uses the same animation, it just rag-dolls. So does the Omni-Blade. Besides, for us PC players, we haz mods. Someone will probably come up with a mod that makes a hammer appear and crushes people.
When this game finally comes out and everybody sees how well it turned out, a lot of people are going to be like "damn, I wish I hadn't spent all that time worrying. This is the best ME of the franchise."

at least you get the sence of exploration and atmosphere. I found the mako to be annoying at first but when i got used to it, it was good. I didn't have any problems with the loading. I don't think they should of taken away the exploration of the mako but just like the main game play they should of refined it and improved apon it. It's a meatier experience than "just" scanning

Because ME is a three act trilogy, and if you have ever taken a narrative writing class you would know that Bioware followed narrative writing to a T with ME2 as the 2nd part of a 3 act trilogy, which is you NEVER focus on background story as much as the first act, but instead create the intensity of what is going to happen in the 3rd Act, which is Mass Effect 3.
@Gthang213 mass effect 2 story was weak. the majority of the game was over shadowed by the recruitments and their story and their background which was done greatly. And the last boss was done better by the SNES classic contra 3
Mass effect 2 is alot more of a polished game but I prefer ME1 better. ME2 roleplay elements was seriously dumbed down.

I dont agree with some of the politics of Mass Effect (and yes there is alot of politics in mass effect if you learn everything about how the Alliance works and the backgrounds of all the allian races) but the story to Mass Effect is great. Its got a Epic story like Star Wars and has this great space adventure fealling like i use to get when i watched Star Trek as a kid
I hope the way of running in me3 for ps3 is better in this one. I couldn't really change the direction while running so it was annoying. PC had no problem though.
Too bad Shepard's run animation from the Against All Odds trailer looked absurd and stiff as a board. His hips and shoulders rotate around his core which stays perfectly still the entire time. Bullshit.

but in ME2 i played first infiltrator and then sentinel (which was way more fun), hopefully sentinel be more offensive in ME3.

Dear ME3 devs, is this a video demonstration of how boring the game can go, or is it just a pure satisfaction from making a first melee mechanic ever? Hard to tell.

@Y33haw355 The knife in CoD causes a dynamic kill animation that uses ragdoll. The Omni-Blade causes a scripted kill animation that will look exactly the same every time. It's not a question of good or bad gameplay mechanic, it's just going to be a total eyesore.

@chiffmonkey The COD knife uses the same animation, it just rag-dolls. So does the Omni-Blade. Besides, for us PC players, we haz mods. Someone will probably come up with a mod that makes a hammer appear and crushes people.

at least you get the sence of exploration and atmosphere. I found the mako to be annoying at first but when i got used to it, it was good. I didn't have any problems with the loading. I don't think they should of taken away the exploration of the mako but just like the main game play they should of refined it and improved apon it. It's a meatier experience than "just" scanning
The new mako imo dosn't count cause i didn't like it. It didn't feel right. It was just to easy to handle.

@bboychi1 everything doesn't have to be difficult in a game, games is suppose to be fun. Now don't get me wrong I LOVE GAMES that give me a challenge but if something as simple as driving a freaking tank-like machine is given me problems, that's a gameplay flaw. Which is why Bioware pulled the mako. Many players complained about it and didn't like the feature. Plus the sidequests in ME1 were so repetative and mediocre

@Gthang213 yes there was annoying issues with the old mako but like me i found other ways around it, and there was something unique and the personality in the way it felt to control and handle. I understand you and everyone else found it frustrating. It wasn't suppose to be easy like riding a kiddys 3 wheel bike it's a space vehicle for gods sake and it's suppose to handle like one. ME2 should'nt be called ME2.It should be calledd "ME1.5 The recruitment stage" cause it didn't feel like a sequel.

Because ME is a three act trilogy, and if you have ever taken a narrative writing class you would know that Bioware followed narrative writing to a T with ME2 as the 2nd part of a 3 act trilogy, which is you NEVER focus on background story as much as the first act, but instead create the intensity of what is going to happen in the 3rd Act, which is Mass Effect 3.
Plus ME2 storyline was much better to me than ME1

@Gthang213 mass effect 2 story was weak. the majority of the game was over shadowed by the recruitments and their story and their background which was done greatly. And the last boss was done better by the SNES classic contra 3
Mass effect 2 is alot more of a polished game but I prefer ME1 better. ME2 roleplay elements was seriously dumbed down.

That's fine that is what's great about opinions. I feel ME2 story was better because of the characters that surround shepard were better than ME1 which drove the story for me. But that's me.

I dont agree with some of the politics of Mass Effect (and yes there is alot of politics in mass effect if you learn everything about how the Alliance works and the backgrounds of all the allian races) but the story to Mass Effect is great. Its got a Epic story like Star Wars and has this great space adventure fealling like i use to get when i watched Star Trek as a kid

Too bad Shepard's run animation from the Against All Odds trailer looked absurd and stiff as a board. His hips and shoulders rotate around his core which stays perfectly still the entire time. Bullshit.
