I was there in Abu Dhabi GP 2010, and it was a sad evening, seeing Fernando finish P7. You can't expect much from this track. If the Ferrari could not pass Renault, there is something wrong !

@prabalray there is nothing wrong, just by the end of the season renault was really strong they'r f-duct was comparable with f duct of mclaren, the only advantage ferrari had over renault back in the last race was the front wing which was red bulls innovation, ferrari just was the only team which was able to copy it :), Also i remind you that even Hamilton on fresh option tyres couldn't pass kubica on very used prime tyres. It was the bad strategy to begin with that alonso lost.

But the F duct would be good enough for a proper straight line, and the circuit has only one long straight to speak for; the other straight is the pit lane, you are on 7th gear about 100 meter into the 1st corner. does not help. But if Ferrari had a good front wing- comparable to the RB6, the Ferrari should have been able to overtake in the corners. But you will also notice the corners are 90 deg angles...I dont see many tracks living a long life with 90 deg bends.

@prabalray well you have to take the track into account also. I remember ferrari being set for 3rd sector of Yas Marina just like Red bull was. It was a good option for good lap times but not for overtaking, that's why webber and alonso were screwed when they were to pit early. They let Vettel make about 65% of race distance then they let him pit. Also i would like to remind you that the front wing we were talking about gave much more effects in fast corners than is 90deg slow corners

it depends on what novelties F1 team develops and deploys, i really would like Red bull team to explain me and show what they used to hold first positions(approximately) at practices of any GP...

This also holds true for Renault F1 team during 2005-06. Only owing to novelties team holds first position.
