Looks and sounds beautiful. How did you know how thick to make the top and or braces ? I am assuming you would need a little more wood for 13 strings.
@spheremaster90 probably not that hard tbh. Tune so you could roll the sweep over the 12th fret harmonic on the bottom 5 strings then tune standard E from there and adapt the sweep acording to the major/minor inversion of the first 5 notes
Thank you, Michael, for this very informative and interesting video about your beautiful instrument. Your video is very well thought out. I like the fact that you paid attention to backgrounds, something most folks don't think about. --Bill :~)
This is a very well thought out instrument, I wish I had more disposable income right now because I'd order one of these in a second! Hopefully, in a couple of years, please don't stop building them!
I love it!!! the guy claims he made this guitar to play a certain type of music.... who's he kidding... everybody knows he made the guitar to have the one with the most strings! :)
ok and when you have most strings what do you have? more options, more notes to play certain type of music. morte notes = more fun, more sounds, more options!!!, more music
Very nice video Michael. It is a fascinating instrument and obviously very well thought out. I wonder if any modern composers could become interested in writing for it?
That really is a beautiful instrument both in looks and sound.
