@HUMMER09876 ive gat the 5 cyl and it doesnt’ seem underpowered but the towing isn’t very impressive and also there is no tow/ haul switch like on trucks so it tends to turn a few more rpm when towing really anything.
my mom has one and all I can say is that the build quality is horrible, hers is an 06 with an I5 and 0-60 on 10 sec. come on!....Buy a bmw x5 with the I6 and u get 0-60 in 6 sec.

You might be suprised, a friend of mine has an FJ and he has had nothing but problems, another friend of mine has a GMC Envoy that has over 275k and has had zero problems.. the Jap cars arent as indistructible as they once were thought to be.. as a matter of fact, Ford is considered one of the most reliable cars out there now.
All I know is, I Made the Right decision buying the H3.. Like I've said.. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned!!

I have an 06 H3 with the I-5 and I can honostly say this is the best vehicle I have ever owned! It is now 4 years old with 65000 miles on it and I have had NO problems AT ALL. More then enough power, especially torque! Ride & handling is Awesome. Visibility is better then in my wifes Toyota minivan. Offroad, It is a Beast!! It is top 3 in the best offroad vehicles stock from the MFG with several Mags and agencies. better then Honda, Toyota & Nissan! If u dont like it u havent driven it!
@Cangri69 People that talk crap about this vehicle have never driven it. I grew up in Jeep Wranglers and now own a 2008 H3 Alpha. It's the best vehicle that I've ever owned and I'm not going back to Jeeps. A properly driven H3, with decent tires and lockers can do anything a Jeep can do and then some. Jeeps roll too much. My MPG on the highway is around 19-20 MPG. In the city, it drops to around 14-15. That's better than most trucks, some minivans and even some cars. This is a great SUV!
@Cangri69 FYI- My 08 H3 gets 16-17 MPG BETTER than any Jeep Wrangler or Cherokee of the same year. WAY better than a Jeep according to my friends who own Jeeps!

My mom surprised me with an H3 a few months ago. It's got a 3.5L Inline-5 and plenty of space for me. I'm 6'1" and weigh 200 pounds so that might say something? Anyways, today I raced a Honda Pilot and won. The H3's performance is vastly underrated and it is a really great SUV. I've learned to really love my HUMMER and I love it to death. I've taken it off road and had a blast! I even pulled my friend's FJ out of the mud with it.
Great car, totally under-rated, it's worth every penny.

My mom surprised me with an H3 a few months ago. It's got a 3.5L Inline-5 and plenty of space for me. I'm 6'1" and weigh 200 pounds so that might say something? Anyways, today I raced a Honda Pilot and won. The H3's performance is vastly underrated and it is a really great SUV. I've learned to really love my HUMMER and I love it to death. I've taken it off road and had a blast! I even pulled my friend's FJ out of the mud with it.
Great car, totally under-rated, it's worth every penny.

i gotta 09 H2 and my aunty has the 570 lexus aka the new one lol ive drvien both.. lexuse might be very luxury but its just a landcruiser with a different badge. thee h2 feels more powerfull and attracts more attention.. and alot of hotties :P lexus only attracts 40 year old people cause of its name. h3 attacts alot of attention aswell

H3 gets about the same gas mileage as a Wrangler Rubicon.
It may be 1 mile/gallon lower, but it's actually very similar. The H3 also 0-60s faster then a Rubicon, even with the Atlas.
So I never understood the whole "JEEP IS BETTER! H3's SLOW AND A GAS GUZZLER", when you really compare the facts.

14/18mpg, which is actually not bad for a full-sized SUV. Especially when you compare it to a Rubicon, which is tiny and weighs next to nothing and they still only get 16/19mpg..
Top Gear once said it well. "It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it." When their M3 got better gas mileage around their track then a Prius.

the problems with the US auto industry has been caused by them producing decades of gas guzzling poor quality cars, people cant be expected to buy inferior US cars just to support the US car industry when there are far better alternatives from europe and japan. my lexus GS 450h uses 8 litres per 100 kilometers as opposed to the H3 using 14-16, look it up. i drive a lexus cause i want a qualtiy, luxury car, most hummers are bought by people who wish to stand out, and not for their offroad ability

You're right. For a while, American Motor companies have produced cars that are very fuel inefficient, although they look better than the Japanese made economy-safe cars. Nowadays, the American SUV line is declining and is being replaced by crossovers. I wonder if a Hummer Crossover is coming...
