@python238 Out numbered was not that only problem for Germans. First of all, their air power was hopelessly outmatched compared to both large and powerful air power of the allies. Germans failed to see the importance of air power and because of this, the ground power they boasted so much were smashed to bits. Secondly, the german productivity and resources were tiny, almost trivial compared to that of Allies. Resources and productivity of America alone could outmatch the whole of Axis powers.
@dlxowns322 I agree with your statement except for 'Germans failed to see the importance of air power' Germany was the first to see the need for air superiority. And threw out the early stages of the war the luftwaffe played a key role in their success. But they were stretched to the limit in recources, planes, pilots,They did'nt have the recources to produce enough planes and enough time to train pilots.
@python238 Germans were stupid in the first place to even think they could take on the Allied powers after America joined in but considering the time they held out against the allied offensive, they did quite well.
BTW, kill ratio means nothing in a war. It is the final victory that matters the most. The kill ratio did nothing to help Germany from being stripped of their self-determination and forced to pay war debts when Russians and Americans rolled in.
@dlxowns322 not really. With Japanese in the war, they thought they had a chance, and in a way he did, provided Hitler played his cards a little straight.
@TheOwie15 cause u play video games and are referring cheating to war, cause if u got shot by a plane in cod u wud say the dude was cheating, not to hate but it sounded kinda kiddish "cheating"
@TheOwie15 wow you are stupid. Its called war. welcome. You fight to win not to be fair. Just think when they went into franch there tanks were usless vs british heavy and french tanks. They used diver bombers and 88's to kill them. to as you say make up for their weakness on the ground....... Moron!
Luftwaffe was very impressive to be able to do such as thing with smaller number compared to the Allies and to knock some of there Airfields out and give the German Forces some hope increassing moral was another

Why does it feel like that allies using airpower to make up for their weakness on the ground seem like cheating to me?

I was in La Gleize. Unbelievable that such huge tanks as King Tigers drove in that area over narrow roads.
