And today they call this classic well i'll listen to it all the time does this make me old? Well if so then great I grew up with this type of music and miss it. I guess that classic means the music has CLASS which it does compared to the trash put out today.
Obrigado pela lindíssima canção, Percy Faith! Desde os anos 70, quando conheci a música ela me encantada pela força, beleza e graciosidade. É uma dádida para nós!
Here, in Charlotte North Carolina, where I reside, this rendition by Percy Faith, as well as the ORIGINAL version by Franck Pourcel( the version that started the whole thing, yes, even before Petula Clark's French Language Version) were commonly played on easy listening stations. Someone needs to bring back that kind of format for radio. Anyone agree?
Same here, this is a good song. I did notice Ricky Nelson's edition of this same song. This exact was the #1 song for Peggy March in 1963, she was age 15 when her edition was released: "I Will Follow Him".
And Peggy March, herself, followed Franck Pourcel who did the original instrumental version in 1961, followed by Petula Clark, who did a French version a year later. Check out Franck Pourcel's version, if you want to hear where it all began

They don't make them like that anymore. I have the album "Themes For Young Lovers" and still play it a lot. Thanks, Percy!!!

Even Percy Faith followed "Little Peggy March"
who made this Song very popular back in 1963.
Oh, the 50's and early 60's music...I loved it and still do 50 some years later....

Reminds me of those great old "operating
difficulties" moments on WNEW-TV in NY
during the Marx Brothers films.
