Noho Hewa is the best film on Hawaii period. Nuff with this blue hawaii, hawaii 5-0, magnum pi, blue crush, and bay watch bull shit! My step-dad is a 30yr veteran of the Air Guard in O'ahu, not a drop of Hawaiian blood in him, and he's probly done more for Hawaii than everyone combined in Noho Hewa.
This movie was an 80min rant and self-pity festival, totally one sided. Hey, maybe if local people stop trashing the beaches and towns, maybe the military will give the land back eh?

Maybe the military shouldn't be occupying the land in the first place! Maybe they broke the law stepping foot on our soil in 1893 and continue to disregard the law until this day, over a hundred years later. You need to ralize that the U.S. military has no right, leagally or morally, to even be here right now. If we were having this conversation in the USA then it would be a different story.

The overthrow failed because no treaty of cession occurred the country is under U.S Occupation and it should end. Military rule should be started carrying out Kingdom Law

My point was the way the movie was made was pretty shabby, one sided, hence bullshit.
