This is a comparison over the first 4yrs ONLY. I really don't know how he kept his job? Median household income, change Clinton: +1.7% per year Bush: -1.6% per year Number of Americans in poverty (average change per year) Clinton: -800,000 Bush: +1.5 million Number of Americans without health insurance Clinton: +145,000 Bush: +1,885,000 Federal surplus/deficit (annual average): Clinton: +$5 billion Bush: -$350 billion Vote democrat...
My point: Republicans told me to leave the country because I was 'unpatriotic'; I now say that they were wrong and they were the ones unpatriotic to our American ethics and ideals of old.
The modern republicans are aggressive, prejudice, greedy, and imperialistic. They are the ones who were unpatriotic and had no right to call me and my friends unpatriotic merely because we RIGHTFULLY opposed a war and a president which have both now proven themselves mistakes!
Modern republicans are unpatriotic towards our American Ideals.
Modern republicans should move to Canada since they mistreat our ideals as a country! They are not patriotic towards America, but rather have some sort of ignorant prejudice and sense of imperialistic superiority, along with being cluttered with massive levels of gluttony.
John Edwards is the only right choice for the Democrats. It's likely that GOP will have Romney as the nominee and Huckabee as a VP. A dream ticket for Dems would be John Edwards and Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana.
Edwards needs to choose someone like Mario Cuomo. If he chooses a DLC Democrat like Evan Bayh, I will fear for Edwards' life, because there is no way the "entrenched" interests are going to allow Edwards to finish out his Presidency. If you want "assassination insurance," choose someone that corporate America hates as much as you. For Edwards, Mario Cuomo would be a good choice.
I HEART John Edwards!!!! He is the one for the job. Ron Paul might have the right idea, and I say "might" but I kinda feel sorry for him when he speaks. He can barely make a point.
Well, let's look at the converse. This Republican might be saying this out of self-interest, really believing that with his $400 haircuts and flip-flopping from the war to trade policy, Edwards might be the easiest candidate for the Republicans to beat. Be wary of what the opposition says.
Edwards has not yet reached the bottom of the barrel. We'll know he's at the bottom when he quotes the editor of a college newspaper as claiming that Edwards is the one who scares him the most.
All the polling shows John Edwards is clearly the strongest Democratic candidate- easily beating all the Republicans. We have a real chance to turn the south blue again with a Edwards nominee. Now if only the Dems voting in primaries will wake up before it's too late.
Sen. Edwards admitted he " made a mistake " in voting for the Iraq war bill in 2002. He knows what he's in for should he get the nomination. The Republicans should be scared.
I actually agree with this guy. Hillary is soo hated. I think Obama would probably put up a good fight, but Edwards would probably be the biggest challenge.
If the GOP thought he was the easiest Democrat to beat, their Retardican friends in the GOP owned media would be giving him all the attention instead of HC or BO.
"[L]oose" the election? I don't think Democrats are relying on ignorant folks like yourself to win. Democrats concede rednecks, bigots, and morons to the Republicans and go after the other 71%.
Woops. I said a little over a year. I meant a single term. Yes that is six years. But look at the last time a senator was elected in the general election.
I'm not trying to discredit her professional career, but everyone else has a professional career as well. In that realm I think Obama's is stronger than hers. Yes she had health care. But when she boasts about it people point out it failed, so they say it wasn't her policy but Bill's. She really doesn't have as much experience as she claims. Even Richardson has more experience than her.
Those questions annoy me. Why doesn't Hilary's resume experience give her a boost? Stop using her talking points. Hilary can't run on her resume experience alone because she has way less experience than almost all the other candidates beyond Barack. It is funny that she harrassed him the whole time where her resume is as first lady of the state of Arkansa and first lady of the United states and New York senator for only a little over a year.
let me take that one step further....when you consider Obama's time in the state Senate of Illinois, Barack Obama actually has more experiance as an elected offical then Hillary.
well I wonder how is Edwards better than Bill Clinton was. Bill ran a very similar campaign based on populism, right after the elections turned into a modern republican.
well at least one: the war against Yugoslavia, then the embargo against Iraq has killed 0.5M kids and supported Saddam pretty much, the Turks slaughtered a huge number of Kurds with Clintons support, and so on... He wasn't totally a neocon puppet though, thus he was a bit better than Bush. But it was in a different time, no 911, no high oil price, no strong Russian and raising Chinese opposition etc
The war in Yugoslavia was not stupid. I don't think there was a single American casualty. The European also backed and approved our intervention in Yugoslavia. And the situation in Yugoslavia was brought under control
How did the Clinton "support" the Turks killing Kurds? and haven't Turks been killing Kurds and Kurds been killing Turks for years???
The Neo Cons tried to get Clinton to invade Iraq in 1998 and Clinton told them to take a hike...
I'm not interested in writing essays here, do your own research on both turkey and yugoslavia (google or listen2 Chomsky or something), and add tons of depleted uranium to that in Yugoslavia (mainly in Kosovo) which means radioactive poisoning for eternity, and that 78 days of massive bombing had totally destroyed the infrastructure of yugoslavia.

Vote Edwards for change!!
What scares me are the voters. I was in New Hampshire and a guy told me he couldn't decide between Richardson and Giuliani. Yes, those two candidates with nothing in common from two different parties.
And Iowa polls just scare me. Hillary's supporters list "Bill Clinton" and "health care" as their big reasons for support.
They scare me more than my own home state of Florida.
