  • How fun this must've been for Harvey, Carol and Vicki to do.

I would love to have been able to visit this restaurant while they were filming this.

  • I love the shawl Mama is wearing. I would totally wear that.

  • Only complaint: I don't believe they have "salad bars" in restaurants this fancy.

Violinist...in a restaurant with a salad bar? Uh, no.

  • Three people must have been employees on the night they visited.

  • My aunt takes the sugar and my asks her why, and she say's, "You have a sugar bowl, don't you?". I take the Equals.

  • The chocolate mousse lady and her beau walked in right before Eunice and them, yet they are already on dessert by the time the rest get their salad. What fast eaters they must be! LOL!

  • ...and awwayyyyyy we go! remember that one? God I miss those days. As a former member of the Mickey Mouse Club, and truly I was, I would like to say a big hello to all my fellow club members! You know what would be great if all of us former members got together on one site and said Hey. I grew up in such an iconic time. All the best of the past. I used to tell my co workers if something was lame that being a former member of the Mickey Mouse Club gave me certain insight . Not so, it was fun.

  • Hey Tabstarkin, how many Family sketches were there during the Carol Burnett Show?

  • I often wondered if my memories were faulty or if I were just partial to the things of my own time, thinking that music, movies and television were way better back when I was a kid. Comparing the state of things nowadays, I have to say, it was not my imagination, I am not prejudice, everything really was better, and I miss those days. I wish with all my heart I could go back to those wonderful years, when funny was really funny, and it didn't involve a whole lot of expletives to make a point.

  • @pjgumby Amen; my 17 yr old son always ask me why I watch all the old shows... Need I say more....kids 2day will have nothing good to look back on...

  • @pjgumby: We may be partial to tv from back then, but when you look at what's popular now (Jersey Shore, e.g), it makes you harken back to the days of people with REAL talent providing real entertainment.

  • @honeycone71 You are so right honeycone71 and 82CARVER, this is such good comedy, and my parents didn't have to worry what we watched on television. It's sort ironic that with cable I have hundreds of channels to view and I keep seeking out the classics. I do like some of the newer ones like Everybody likes Raymond, of course MASH is great, but even these pale in relation to the old greats. I remember humor, it used to be so funny!

  • I'M POOR!!!

  • @mbabitt me too

  • yeah..Kids have no shit to see on tv nowdays

    this was a good stuff..!

  • man i am only 23 yrs old but this is def classic television

  • Yes, TV used to be good..............it's a shame they have just that reality crap these days. I guess it's cheaper, you don't have to pay real actors.

  • OMG they wear the same clothes no matter where they go lol!!

God forbid; their in fancy restaurant. This is so awesome!!

  • L'Chaim to you too Harvey..rest in peace. You were wonderful....miss you.

  • OMG Family can be so scarry, This is "too" much like reality when it comes to my family, only THIS is funny, can't see the humor in mine LOL!! One Word when i absolutely have to put up with it and that HOLIDAYS! gotta tell ya, don't look forward to em.

  • @atlasshrugged2u I feel for you. As a kid in the 1970s, I used to watch syndicated reruns of this, and while I LOVED the Carol Burnett show, I never really could enjoy these "The Family" sketches because Eunice resembled my own mother way too much. When Eunice yells and/or scrunches up her face in anger, I'm seeing & hearing an exact replica of my own mother. Its just too painful. Holidays indeed seemed to bring out the worst in her. I cant recall a Thanksgiving that didnt include yelling.

  • @classicphile Wow, I could imagine it would be painful. Hey, you know it reminds me of the "symbol" for comedy ...(the masks) the "faces of comedy and tradgedy" I mean even though these skits of Enice and Mama and Ed were funny, there was a "tragic sense" to it as well, and that's what made the show IMO

Hey check out the movie "Home For The Holidays" starring Holly Hunter and Robert Downey Jr. talk about dysfuncrtional! but it was good...

It let's us see that wer'e not the only ones (smile)

  • Two pink ladies please!! ^.^

  • When did this episode air? I don't remember seeing it anywhere.

  • HAHA!! this is awesome!

Mama and Eunice are just like my mom and my grandma lol

  • Eunice- the original drama queen

  • This is my favorite skit with Eunice.

  • OMG! This was way funnier then the TV show mamas family, Euince and are way more funny.

  • I was curious- looked up "pink lady".. it's made with gin, grenadine, an egg white, beaten, to make it foamy.. poor Eunice- didn't even get a chance to enjoy it, thanks to Ed and Mama!

  • @1lricardo

Well, the reason why they couldn't enjoy their meal was because Eunice was making a scene with Mama and Ed. It drove the other customers crazy taht they complained and were evicted from the restaurant.

  • @Matto2t ----- true..... but I always feel badly for Eunice, b/c she never realizes that SHE'S the one with the problem-- not the whole rest of the world!

  • Pink Ladys are Nice anthing fruti is hehe

  • I love the episode it is very FUNNY :D

  • "Do you know what the price of sugar is these days?" That's my grandmother over and over and over and over again!

  • I have to identify with Mama. The old timers were tight with their money and knew when they were being ripped off and were being over-charged and didn't stand for it. Whereas today we throw money away.

  • A pink lady is a drink with gin, grenadine & a few other items. :)

When mama pulls that roll of toilet paper out of her purse....that's one of the funniest things I have ever seen!!! :D

  • As with many popular drinks of the 70's a Pink Lady is made with cream. As was a Grasshopper, a Brown Cow and a White Russian. They were all the rage in the mid to late 70's.

  • H eye double G Higgens ;)

  • I as well have never heard of a pink lady.

As for ED ? He needs these women in his life, they are perfect for him, HIS LIFE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE SCREWED UP W/OUT THEM

  • what is in a pink lady drink? i have never heard of it.

  • A PINK LADY

  • i cant see why ED didnt get a gun and shoot them 2 bitchs long ago..

  • dont take this wrong!! but who is or was the bigger bitch Eunice or Mama??....?

  • I'd say Eunice

  • hard to say but I'd vote Mama!

    but i love that bitch!

  • Comment removed

  • I just cant understand why Eunice and Ed rgue frequently, yer their together. I'd rather have a man that I don't have 2 argue with.

  • does anyone know where i can get a legitiment copy of mamm's family.. i have season 1 but cannot find any others

  • Look on AMAZON

  • This segment was seen on "Carol Burnett & Friends" in syndication.

  • i wouldn't go through a drive-thru with these people much less a restaurant

  • and i am sure they think the same about you too

  • Fuck off you dumb ass. you're probably trashier than these "characters" could ever hope to be

  • LMAO, Eunice, Mama and Ed are killin' me with the White Shoes...

  • LOL @ the toiletpaper...

and love that look on Carol's face with the bug eyes when she says "You do if you want a salad".

  • Thank You for all of these Carol Burnett clips!

  • Isn't that waiter Robert Goulet?

  • No he was one of the background regulars, looked like him though

  • "You mean I have to get up again! lol. What a witch. If she was my mother, she would never leave the house. It does not get much better than this.

  • My friend's grandmother used to steal stuff from the Luau, a Polynesian restaurant, and we never thought much about it, a salt and pepper shaker here, a plate there, but one day she brought it all out and the had a complete service for twelve, dinner plates, butter plates, salad plates, plastic coconut shells, several tiki lamps, condiment containers and silverware, we were so shocked we couldn't even speak.

  • My Mom used to steal all the plastic forks etc from Long John Silvers to take to our family reunions. She said it was heavy duty and"you can't buy it in the stores. All they sell is that flimsy junk".I don't know if the relatives ever noticed, but we all knew.

  • Carol Burnett...there will never be another like you.

  • My mom does exactly what Mama does with the sugar. We go somewhere fancy and she swipes all the little stuff.

  • lol, "Visit it? what's going on there?"

  • Mama's acting so close to my grandmother it's scary

  • how cute

  • Very funny.

  • R.I.P Harvey Korman.

  • Love it! I feel sorry for kids growing up today. All they pretty much have to watch on tv now is reality shows. I remember watching Carol Burnett as a kid with my Mom. We never laughed so much!

  • @vrj40 I agree...I'm 14, and i can't stand todays TV.

I love Carol Burnett like nothing else. She's perfect.

  • @vrj40 I AGREE. THE KIDS TODAY DO NOT HAVE SHOW LIKE THIS. MY FAVORITE WAS I LOVE LUCY, THEN CAROL BURNETT.

  • I love it! I LOVE IT!!!!

  • This is a disaster waiting to happen in about an instant.

  • OMG! The toilet paper is such a funny reference to Carol Burnett's real life grandmother.

  • same here

  • i'm loving these, thanks for putting them up,and please keep them coming!
