Callaway FT-iQ driver review

love this driver had a friend that gave me one that he got from a rep and it's incredible how well the ball bounces off the face. mine is the tour version however it is labeled as 11 degrees of loft but actually is a 9.5 i'm guessing that's why the rep gave it to my friend in the first place. contrary to what the video said however i feel like it has a little less loft that 9.5 which i like my other drivers that i use are all 8.5 lofts this could just be me though

Traded in my tour burner and bought one of these. Found a tour model 9.5 with a proforce axivcore shaft (a rare find at the at the store for a lefty). It's a total beast, off center hits stay in the rough and not in the woods. When you crank one off the X in the middle of the face it comes off like a rocket. With the upgraded shaft and my swing speed (125-130), 330 isn't unusual.

Just switched from a Hyper X to this club the other day. The first hit sliced, after that I was putting every ball straight. Probably one of the best clubs ive ever hit next to the new Ft-IZ.

okay a second comment is well deserved for this as i've had time to really practice and use it on the course. i didn't regrip it or cut it down. all i can say is i'm ripping this down the fairways....carry about 280 and rolling out another 20-25yds w/o even trying........

probably the most accurate driver i've ever hit.. as i start to bring my swing speed up to normal (110-115) i'm sure i'll be carrying it 310-315.

i played saturday and the group in front of me waited for me at one hole and asked my group who hit the last drive with what driver because they couldn't believe i rolled up into them when they were about 320+yds out. they told me it rolled up about 30yds. i had hit a line drive that never got above the tree line.

i got this driver for free when i bought my FT irons. im still not used to it, though i haven't re-gripped it yet either. it does seem to have the qualities i prefer in a driver which is low trajectory and almost no lift during ball flight.. i'll probably cut it down 1 1/2" also for more control.

to be honest with you im just 16 im 10 stone and i have been using a callaway x tour x stiff my average driving distance is 320 to 345, tried this new callaway and i boomed it 368

Blasted this thing 334 today and im only 140 pounds. i average 310-320 and im in fucking love this with club ! Hit the Heel or toe and it still comes around and hits the fairway

best $575 i ever spent!! this club is a phenom! i drove 2 par 4 greens in my first round using it.. it also makes you a much more social golfer as you apologise to the group in front quite often for chasing there Ass with the ball..

i tried this driver today on a simulator i hit it the farthest out of the titlist d3s, taylor made burner, and some ping drivers and the other callaway driver i think it was ft i and out of all of them i hit the ft iQ the farthest a 227 drive i am 14

The sound at impact is a lot more solid than the old FT-i. It's a little non-traditional looking, but it works.

fair play this driver is aimly mained at high handicapped golfers as i tested it for 2 and a half hours down the range.. shaping the ball is really hard but its very very forgiving. overall though its an amazing club like mr tappin said..

O and anyone realised how good and solid neils swing is better than a 8 handicap i know?

I have to say it is not your normal looking driver but as long as it consistently drives straight I don't mind. I tried this driver out at Golfsmith store in their hitting booth, it hits great but I can't tell if it helped me with my slice or not unless I can go to a range to test it out. I would purchase it if it was a bit cheaper, so in the mean time I'll stay with my TM tour burner and Titleist 983k.
