i can never figure out why they never put another slice of bread on peanut butter "sandwich" on peanut commercials. I guess they want us to see it but in real life, it would just end up in a mess.

That's probably because the filming quality was good; that's why they don't appear to be primitive-looking. But trust me, they are 20 years old.
