It's got less body roll and better weight distribution, a lower center of gravity and better brakes and areodynamics, and it's got just as much power. A Mustang can be made into a pretty good track car with some new suspension, sway bar, rotors/calipers/steel-braided hoses/high-temp. fluid, some new rubber, an LSD, remove some extra weight, etc.

Actually my buddy owns one. Yes, they handle pretty well, but they just aren't the track cars that 350Zs are. Not in their strock form anyway. My buddy says they understeer a bit compared to the Z, mainly because the COG isn't as low and the weight distribution isn't as good. I'm not saying that they handle bad, because they don't. But when it gets twisty, I would rather have a good ol' Z than a Mustang GT.

A 350z sure LOOKS like it drives-and if you haven't driven a car that drives you might even think it does. Try out an Acura TL. YEAH that's what I said, a TL and not even the more aggressive TL-S. I had a TL that was a bone stock loaner from the dealer while my RL was in for service. My girl has a 350z. I drove them both over the same twisty road and the 350 handled like crap in comparison. The TL stayed glued to the road. RWD/FWD-BS! that only matters exiting corners. A BMW 3 MIGHT touch a TL!
That's a good looking car, the TL. Actually, the 350Z handles fine, just not the best. It's a great track car, however, because it makes good power and torque, combined with good handling, good braking, and very little understeer or body roll. It's not the best at anything, it's a little bit of everything, and when you have a car that's at least good in every category, you have yourself an excellent track car.

i'll take you on, on my scooter. It put's out about 12 amps and can run for about 3 hours on one battery. Oh! AND it goes 17mph, probably 20 downhill...

chill out man. was a joke. Actually, my volvo was running 192BHP btw.
I'dve been lucky to do the strip in less than 15 seconds. I think i got just under 16 seconds, so techinically a 15 but as it was a high 15 i don't count it.
Sadly though, i popped a gasket and couldn't be arsed to rebuild it. not bad for an 162k motor =)
