Jerry Nolan had an fan who was over the top..the guy would just lose his self...Hed start yelling "Jerry-fukin-NOLAN!!!...jerry'd be playing the guy'd walk right up close, he could have hit him witn a stick JERRY FUCKIN NOLANN!!!!
Jerry always seemed like the quite more mature one in the dolls but he seemed like fun, i like when he's in that jokeshop and he's playin' with the cap gun
don't get me wrong, I love Jerry Nolan. it is uncanny how he died around the same time JT did. back in the day, you had rock no roll buddies. guess that's the comeraderie that develops over time. cool, see ya later.
he looks so zooted. he was an et tonight hopeful unfortunetaly, we have never heard anything from, what the fuck was that guys name? hey, all in the day.
hey looks so fucking healthy, must have kciked drugs for good here, he looks thirty years old and he's well in his mid forites. What a tragic fate for this guy, as far as I know his death hadn't anythign to do with drugs, it was an infection.
i read once that the street where jerry met johnny thunders for the first time, was also the same street where they were to finally say their last goodbye..they didn't know it but they were never to see each other again. Thunders died soon after. I also read that they are buried beside each other in new york. RIP to you both..
jerry nolan was a hard street fighter back in his teens. great drummer too. one of the most underated drummer from that era. john lydon talks a load of shit when he says the pistols started it all . the stooges the who even with my generation. the new york dolls . johny thunders solo etc.
yeah you're right, bo diddley's r n' b, people got it all wrong.
and as soon as i heard jerry nolan's drumming, i had to change my play and now 'cause of him i have a bran d new way of playing plus the charleston hit on each snare hit, he's my first influence drumwise, RIP jerry nolan, he never knew what eeenormous influence he was
Poor Jerry... RIP. Its sad how nowadays to kids, R'n'B doesn't even have the same meaning as it did back in the old days... in 1991 even, which I guess is old days too now. Jerry would hate today's music...
i hear RnB today and its like what the fuck is this shit. RnB was like Big Momma Thorton and stuff not R Kelly or whatever the fuck crap they have know. RnB died a long time ago.

I always greatly enjoy listening to Jerry being interviewed because he was so intelligent and articulate-he was a class act!

the reason Jerry split from him for a while is that JT didnt like paying his band
markwasthere 4 years ago
The only world class musician in the Dolls. Refused to do the "So Alone" sessions. JT from liner notes, "Jerry doesn't like playing slow songs."
